We've had constipation issues with my son for some time. He's been on Miralax just to keep things moving. If not, he'd only go every 4 days or so and would only pass huge, hard poops. And he'd be straining to go every day, all day. After talking to his doctor today, one thing we've decided to do is take him off cow's milk and switch to almond milk. I hope this is the big thing that needs to happen to help him out. I've had a feeling that cow's milk is the issue, but there are other factors. He's a picky, picky, picky eater. I need to get more creative in how I sneak the good food into his diet. Wish us luck. We are going back in a month to see how things are going. We shall see. Plus around here, a half gallon of almond milk costs just as much as a gallon of cow's milk.
