There was a physical jolt as Franky’s voice snapped Nix back into reality, pulling her gaze off the journal in her hands. Judging by the signs of wear on the corners and the bend in the spine, this was the most visited section in her book. It was a collection of drawings she did years ago of her homeland, the island that had been reduced to ash a time ago. Not that she spoke of that to anyone, it was still too painful to discuss aloud. “I’m alright.. Just reminiscing. Reflecting perhaps.” Thinking back on foolish choices and how everything unfolded from there. “Sorry if I worried you at all.”
