          "i can do this on my own, okay?" despite not really sounding resolute, natalia meant what she said. she wasn't in need of any help. it couldn’t be otherwise, after all, she was older and more experienced than damon. "where even comes the sudden will to offer help from? do you hope that you fill your karma account?"

"You know-- there is an odd chill in the air for this to be the spring court" Penelope frowned as she walked at her mate's side, her arm looped through his. Her personal garden seemed rather lacking today too, none of it's usual brightness and warmth, part of her wondered if this was a bad omen, but that was an issue for her cousin to rectify. The nymph intended to enjoy a rare day off for both of them without any of the drama that always seemed to land in their laps.

"Perhaps we should go to our New York home for a bit, see if we can avoid whatever this is" at least their home was protected by her adopted father and was near her psudo brother's home-- they would be safe there from the worst of it-- she hoped.

Kol was bored. There was no revenge to be had, no battles to fight, no raging lunatic brother to pacify, so he was just wandering around the compound until his eyes landed on Klaus doing something actually civil: reading. So he strolled over with a goal: see how fast he could annoy Klaus.

"Klaus, my favorite brother, sometimes. I'll buy you a pint if you go 'bleh, bleh, bleh', like Dracula in those horrid vampire movies," Kol said teasingly. He didn't want him to do that, but it was funny, just annoying Klaus with something so trivial.

Kenna was on her way to Mary her chambers as she heard that the queen and her friend had requested to talk to her. The gaze went up to the guards standing in front of the doors as she told them that Mary was expecting her. Walking inside and looking at her friend. "You asked for me to come. Everything okay, Mary?" Making sure the door was closed behind her when she walked in.

It's no secret that things aren't going that well between her and Bash. Despite her trying and knowing they were forced to marry each other. They tried, yet something changed and it was tense between the two of them.

"Remind me to not to this again" she told him softly as she looked at the paper before her. The words were swimming around the page and she was immediately regretting her choices. She closed her eyes, putting her head down for a moment in an effort to give herself a moment of rest.

"Hey Caleb!" Gretchen said, always much nicer when Regina wasn't around. The blonde wasn't a fan of Caleb but Gretchen was. He was sweet and edgy in a mysterious way. " So I have a job for you. If you can help. Also please don't tell anyone." She glanced around and pulled out a pink bedazzled iPod. "It's old I know but can you maybe find what my music was? Just don't tell anyone because ipods aren't cool anymore."

He didn't like the taste that those words left in his mouth and even twisted about in his belly. A soft breath came from him as he nodded his head. "I suppose that I could…" he trailed off, lowering his gaze and trying to grapple with the thoughts that were rummaging about at the back of his head. "…accept that." The words left him feeling somewhat crestfallen. "But how do you face them? When none of them agree with you? Doesn't that make you feel incompetent?"
