My first thought was: Aw yes, I’ve got ten years to make progress before other people catch up. But I think that attitude at least partially defeats the point! Thanks though, good to know.

I do know what you mean. My approach is to try to wholeheartedly embrace the bits I don't like, to understand why they make me feel uncomfortable or make me cringe or whatever until I just get over it.

Makes good sense - interesting to hear other peoples’ approaches. I’ve been working on doing that with films, may be time to extend the practice to music too!

Did this very deliberately, as this is a book by a South Londoner, about South London, so I wanted specifically to flip the "traditional view" of the London skyline to reflect our reality!

(That said, I am now tempted to check older "views" of London, e.g. in the Ackroyd book, because I have a funny feeling that many of them were painted as if from the river, i.e. a view from the south, as this one is.)
