RECIPE 101: Tofu Noodle Pasta
Ahm, this is the first time I will blog about my "pacham version" (pachamba-chamba) of foods that I cook. If I have enough time and resources (of foods) I really, really love to cook. I love to experiment recipes and so far all of them is really tasty (walang yabang! ask the one who eat..hehe!). Well this is the version of my sought after Tofu Noodle Recipe (sought after talaga, hehe! most requested kasi sya everytime I will cook). See below and enjoy cooking!
(actually puro tanchahan version lang ang scoop ko, sorry! and also please bear with me, I'm so strict in choosing ingredients especially in their texture, brand, etc. mas prefer ko kasi talaga yung masarap na ingredients coz I believe that good quality ingredients results to delicious foods (ok! depende pa din sa nagluluto, haha!) maarte lang ako, pagbigyan na!)
Ingredients: (eto na!)
Cooking oil
1 cloves of medium sized garlic (minced)
1 medium sized onion
1 pack Maggi Magic Sarap seasoning
1 teaspoon ground pepper to taste
1 pack Good Life Instant Egg noodles (Pancit Canton)
it looks like this:
why this? because aside from it is delicious, it is so firm Egg noodles compared to other brand of pancit canton noodles, it has no tendency to overcooked, and its cooked pasta is Al dente.
1 Mama Sita's Oyster sauce
1 Silver Swan Soy sauce
1 pack Mama Sita's Pancit Canton mix (it look like this)
5 cubes of Tofu (or your preferred pcs. of tofu); cut into small cubes
3-5 cups of water (depending on the noodles you will cook)
1/4 kilo grounded pork (optional)
Fish balls and Squid balls (any or both) (optional)
1/2 chopped Cabbage (you can add pechay tagalong or baguio pechay if you want)
Optional: you can add other vegetable if you want
Directions:
1) Heat the pan and put cooking oil on it. Make sure that the pan and cooking oil is hot so that the tofu will not stick in to the pan.
2) Put the tofu, ground pork, squid balls and fish balls into the heated pan and stir fry it. Put some Magic Sarap Seasoning and pepper to taste. Cook until golden brown. (Best texture of tofu is crispy in the outside and soft and moist inside - my preferred!)
3) Add the garlic, wait until golden brown, then follow the onions. Saute it.
4) Also put the veggies: Cabbage and stir fried it.
5) Once cook, remove the sauteed tofu with onions, garlic and veggies and set aside in one plate (Note: we remove this so we can't overcooked the tofu the veggies)
6) On the empty pan (same pan where you cook the tofu and veggies), put 3-5 cups of water. Mix the Mama Sita's Pancit Canton mix and stir generously until it was dissolve in the water. Put some pepper to taste, some Maggi Magic Sarap seasoning, Oyster sauce and a little Soy sauce. Wait until the water was nearly boiled and put the Good Life Egg noodles (Note: a little noodles becomes many once cook). Stir the noodles until it was cooked. (You can occasionally put water once it becomes dry, I warned you this noodles absorbs too much water so it is okay to let it become saucy because later it will become dry again).
7) Put again the set aside stir fried tofu with veggies into the cooked noodles and mixed it generously. (You can add taste on your own preference).
FINISH!
And here's the finish product:
