Crunchy tofu bites
These Chilli Glazed Tofu Bites are a perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. They're crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a delicious sriracha glaze. Whether you serve them as an appetizer, snack, or part of a main course, they're sure to be a hit with vegans and non-vegans alike!
Ingredients: 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed and cubed. 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce. 2 tablespoons maple syrup. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 teaspoon minced garlic. 1 teaspoon minced ginger. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C. Mix sriracha sauce, maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger together in a small bowl using a whisk. Put the cubed tofu in a large bowl and add the vegetable oil, salt, and pepper. Toss the tofu around until it is well covered. Place the tofu cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Tofu should be golden and crispy after 20 to 25 minutes of baking, with a flip every five minutes. Take the tofu out of the oven and carefully put it in a bowl for mixing. Add the sriracha glaze to the tofu and mix it around so that all the pieces are covered. Put the tofu back on the baking sheet with the glaze and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
