MISSING PIECES OF THE LEGEND
The spring nymph saw the sun roaming the lands aimlessly, it almost broke her heart to see her lost, afraid and alone. You can feel her longing seeping through the ground she steps on.
Her feet are with dried blood, her eyes are with dry tears.
Yet she never saw her moon.
She needs to know that he’s gone, the spring thought — to spare her with anymore hardship and sorrow. She needs to let go, lest her light would only get dimmer.
All the deities could see the toll it has on her. Winter has been stretched without her blessings, time has been disrupted, darkness was prolonged.
They know she would never stop her search until she knows.
He fought. He lost. He’s gone.
She said when the light passed by her gardens and it almost tore her apart to see their goddess come apart.
“He did it to protect you.”
“I never asked him too.”
“What choice does he have when he loved you?”
