[FAN ACCOUNT] 171229 INFINITE Begin Again
Hi everyone! I know it’s been a while but better late than never right? Anyway, I was able to go to the first day of Begin Again and it was so nice to see the boys again. It feels like it’s been forever and a half since I saw their smiling faces on stage. I’m going to try my best at this fan account but tbh it’s not going to be as good as the others. There were a few distractions in my area and because it had been so long, I think I was too caught up in the moment and a lot of the talking parts didn’t stick in my brain. It also might be because I’m getting old lol.
Anyway, the merchandise for the fan meet are all pretty nice and this time they even had a table with all the goods on it so you can look at it or touch them before you buy it. The only bad thing about the goods is that they came in these huge boxes that were impossible to carry around. Fast fowarding to inside the venue. Woollim really seemed to try to change things up this time. They’re still kind of predictable but I can definitely see the effort they put in to make fans a bit happier and to change it up from their complete predictability. Instead of mvs playing before the start, it was the concert logo in English and Korean flashing back and forth with title songs playing in the background. Tbh I kinda missed the mvs. Maybe it was because it was the first day after so long, but no one was singing or getting into the music. I think the mvs helped people concentrate on something instead of their phones.
So the first song they did was ‘Back’. Sungjong took over Hoya’s part and everyone went crazy! Also, in the middle of the song, Dongwoo started to cry during his part. It was so sad and touching, I started to tear up too. So he did his choreography going across the stage slowly, tears streaming down his face, with his cute Dongwoo cry face and it was just silent. Ugh, all the feels. After the song, we had a small event of throwing these paper airplanes with our messages into the air. Tbh it was cute but they all just ended up being trampled up on the floor by the end of the night. The fan union also prepared updated fan chants for us, which was nice. They’re not too difficult, just a few changes here and there really. They started their intros and I remember Myungsoo finished and Dongwoo was starting but Myungsoo kind of interjected like he wanted to say more so Dongwoo was like go ahead but then Myungsoo was like nevermind I’m weird today lol. Sungyeol mentioned that he almost cried after seeing Dongwoo cry too. Can you believe it? Our manly Sungyeol?? lol Anyway, Sunggyu said he wanted to laugh after seeing Dongwoo cry lol. They all talked about what they’ve been up to and Sunggyu mentioned his fanmeets and then Namu teased him by calling him Myungsoo-ssi. I don’t think there was anything else that was too special in this talk. I apologize again, my brain wasn’t fully functioning or something last night. Next, they performed ‘Between Me & You’. After the song they all came out and staff set up chairs for them. They were spread across the stage and were kinda far back so fans were asking them to come forward. They were like we’re so far apart. So fans were hoping they’d come forward but they decided to move their chairs closer to each other. It was so cute, they all moved so close to each other, they were like this is really close now lol. But fans wanted them to come closer to us but they said they need the space for the next part. They did this dice game thing. It was this huge dice that had different topics on them. I don’t remember all but some were ‘Contract Renewals’, ‘Black Past (embarrassing stories from the past’ and... sorry I don’t remember lol. Sungyeol asked what we wanted and we all wanted to hear about the renewals so he fake threw it up and was like ‘Oh yeah, look at that renewals!!’ But then he threw it up again and it still landed on renewals. So they mentioned how they talked for a loooong time about this and that they all think they made the right decision. They mentioned that the CEO was like why is renewals on the dice lol. They also said that their teamwork is even better than before and Sungjong said they’re like family that don’t share blood, and it was such an obvious kind of statement that everyone giggled. Woohyun mentioned that they actually got a lot of love calls from companies but Sunggyu said they chose Woollim cause they know the boys best and fit best with them. Fans were kind of not booing but groaning. So Sungyeol said, ‘To be honest, we know that the fans don’t like our company, but we’re hopeful that we can slowly change that and that things will get better.’ They also said to trust them and their choice so everyone agreed. And then Woohyun threw in, ‘Honestly, they gave us the best deal.’ And Sungyeol was like wow you’re being too honest lol. Sungyeol threw the dice again and it landed on ‘Black Past’ and they talked about different embarrassing stories. I can’t remember all of them but I remember Dongwoo was sorry to Woohyun for not doing a good job on Immortal Song once. We all teased Soo for his Japanese drama from way back when. He said he has a lot so today, we can go with that. Sunggyu brought up something about Sungjong but I forget what it was about. But Sungjong got on his knees and pounded the ground but later hugged Sunggyu. Sunggyu also talked about how Sungyeol tried to copy Woohyun’s aegyo. It started cause Sunggyu said something about meeting his lovers in Hannam-dong (which is where the fanmeet was) and then he said it reminded him of Sungyeol and Sungyeol got so red and was lying face down on the ground lol. They talked about how he was jealous that Woohyun called fans his girlfriends and wives and stuff (which prompted a cute attack by Woohyun) and Gyu said once when Sungyeol was drunk in Hongdae, he said that he was going to be cute too and the very next day he saw Sungyeol call a fan ‘Jagiya’ or something along those lines lol. But he realized it didn’t suit him and then he stopped lol.. They ended it by talking about the upcoming album a bit and the solo songs. Sungjong went off stage to get ready for his solo and the boys said that his solo was very Sungjong-like and that it suited him.
So for the solo stages, Sungjong was first and we later found out his song was called ‘Confession’. He had props on stage that looked like a street with benches and stuff. It was very cute and his singing was so good too. Next was Woohyun’s ballad. It was called ‘The Same Place’ (btw, these English titles are not official). As expected of Woohyun, it was beautiful. Next up was my favorite solo, Dongwoo. This song was just so good and he looked amazing and the choreography.. yaaassss all the hip thrusts. His song was called ‘Thank God It’s Friday’ (this one has an English title). SOOOO good though guys. He wore this red fur coat and ugh i just can’t. I’ve already seen some clips of the solo stages online, so I’m sure you’ll be able to find them. Next up was Myungsoo’s ballad. The funny thing here was that he started by sitting on this box thing and this laser grid came down and cascaded him in red light and everyone was like ooooohhhh and this kinda unexpected song came out and then all of a sudden everything shut off and Myungsoo kinda giggled... the staff put on the wrong song lol. A few seconds later, Myungsoo’s real song came on and it was a ballad called ‘The Day That Passed’. Next Sunggyu comes out and the lasers start up again. The lasers were so cool tbh. Anyway, his song was kinda rock but not really, a bit Nell-ish but not really. Idk what genre it would be. Anyway, it has no title yet. I’ll get into that later. Last was Sungyeol and he did this fun upbeat song which he didn’t reveal the title of. It was very reminiscent of ‘Daddy’ lol. He had the suit and sunglasses and quirky dance thing going on again.
They all came back out doing Sungyeol’s dance and giggling, too cute. They talked about the solos and Sungjong sang a bit of his. Dongwoo said that he originally sang the guide on that song but really liked it, so he kept it, THANK GOD! Woohyun asked if Dongwoo was a vocal or a rapper and Sunggyu said he was hoping to feature on it when he heard it but Dongwoo sang it himself. Myungsoo mentioned the mishap and said he wasn’t flustered cause he’s a pro. He also said he wrote the lyrics for his song, and Sunggyu wrote the lyrics for his too. He mentioned how there’s no title yet and everyone started yelling ‘LASER’ and they couldn’t understand us, so for like a minute we were yelling laser and they were like what??? Until Woohyun said ‘1,2,3′ and we yelled laser and Sunggyu was like, well I’ll think about it lol. Sungyeol said he was considering a ballad but he wanted to end the solo stages with a high energy song and that he might do a ballad in the future. Sunggyu said that he told him to do a ballad but Sungyeol vehemently shook his head.
Next, they performed ‘Be Mine’. After the song, they did the Instagram event. For those who don’t know, there’s an official event where you can ask questions to the boys using a hashtag of the day and whoever gets picked gets a signed poster. Tbh, I really didn’t even pay attention to this part because my area was so distracting. I won’t get into the details here, but this is one of the first times I was legit angry at other fans. I know not all fans are bad people, but until this point, I was surrounded by really selfish people, and it was not a good time. Like I literally could not pay attention to the boys and what they were saying, so I apologize for the gaping hole of information lol. I do remember them saying something about getting ready for the fan meet and Woohyun was putting lots of effort and Myungsoo was just good looking and so chic sitting on the couch that it made Gyu laugh or something. Like something about one person trying so hard and the other being so effortless lol. But Sunggyu tried to make it better by saying Woohyun is the most handsome and everyone went crazy. But Woohyun said it was too late lol. I think another question was what you’d want to take from other members. I do remember fans saying ‘Height’ from Sungyeol lol. It was a long talk but I really didn’t hear it, sorry!!
Next, they went into another segment, the best one imo! They said they were gonna do ‘Golden Bell’ and they staff proceeded to bring out these desks that had dividers between them so they couldn’t cheat. Everyone was screaming ‘Cute’ but the boys couldn’t understand. It literally went on for like 2 mins. They were like ‘Oh they can’t see us?’ and we were like ‘No, we said you’re cute!’ So fans ended up chanting ‘Cute, Cute, Cute’ and they were like ‘Oh, out of the blue?’ lol Then Sunggyu was like, ‘Okay can we explain the rules now?’ The rules were that there would be 12 questions, for each question each member gets right, they can get a stuffed animal that they will later throw into the crowd. They each get 1 Ask Inspirit Chance and 1 Double Point Chance. They also said the person with the least points will get a punishment (which Sunggyu said would def not be him). The first round was ‘Korean’. They gave only the first letter of every syllable and the boys had to guess. The first answer was ‘Over the Top’ and the second was Sungjong’s lemon candy phrase. The second round was Science. They showed a zoomed in picture of a chin and they had to guess who it was. Hyung line thought it was Myungsoo and Dongsaeng line thought it was Sunggyu. It was Sunggyu. Sungyeol said it was cause of his stubble. Sungjong said Sunggyu has big hair pores or something of the sort lol. The next pic was an outfit (body with no face) and only Sungyeol got it wrong. He thought it was Dongwoo but it was Woohyun. He asked when Woohyun had such thick thighs lol. The next was guessing lyrics. They had to finish the lyric of ‘Fixed Star’. Next they played a short clip of a song and it was so easy but Dongwoo and Sunggyu couldn’t hear it and kept asking for a repeat but Yeol was like NOPE! They did repeat it a couple times though. It was ‘Breathe’. Then they gave questions about what members have said in the past. Like one was from the interview with Sunggyu and Baby Soul about what leaders must have, ‘good looks’. Another was what phrase Sunjong kept getting wrong during ‘Real Men’. He kept calling their troop ‘New York University’ or ‘University of Education’. Another was what Woohyun said he was in charge of on Sketchbook, sentiment. Another was what Dongwoo said his lyrics on ‘Paradise’ meant, filling your desire/appetite. Another was to name 5 songs where Myungsoo starts the song. I feel like there was a question about Sungyeol but I can’t remember. Anyway, Sungjong and Woohyun got 6 and Dongwoo got 4. So he lost. Everyone else had 5.
They all said that Dongwoo lost as predicted so they brought out a wheel. Each section had different punishments. Can’t remember them all, but right as Dongwoo spun it, they were explaining what the crown meant. They said if he gets it he can pass the punishment to someone else, and of course, he landed on the crown. Woohyun started doing aegyo to Dongwoo so Dongwoo said he’s safe. Then they all lined up and started doing aegyo and he passed Sunggyu. Sungyeol was trying to plot something after he got passed and Dongwoo ended up choosing Myungsoo and Myungsoo felt very slighted lol. So Myungsoo spun and... he got the crown too! So he said the person who was supposed to be punished should be punished. Dongwoo spun again and... got the crown again lol. So he gave it back to Myungsoo. Myungsoo spun and... got Random Dance. So they played ‘Gashina’ by Sunmi and omg it was pretty good lol. I’ve seen vids up on this, so try to find one! The members were saying it was kinda lame so they put on this kind of trot-like song and he just did random things like shooting arrows and the running man and stuff lol. We then started chanting for everyone to dance but Sunggyu and Woohyun kept talking over our chants. I couldn’t hear what they were saying cause of the chants but prob something about wrapping up the segment. We were literally battling like that for a good minute but Sunggyu finally said, ‘We’re gonna perform ‘Entrust’ now’ and everyone was -__-
They performed ‘Entrust’ and then ‘Cover Girl’ and were throwing the stuffed animals they got during the quiz. Sungyeol kept trying to reach the 2nd floor and he finally did it and everyone was so surprised lol. That boy’s competitiveness lol. There was a short talk... for the life of me I can’t remember what it was about. Then they perfored ‘The Eye’. Then a curtain came down and we did our ‘Come Back Again’ chant. There was a teaser vcr for the new album and they came out and performed ‘Begin Again’. There was no choreography, just standing mics and singing with lyrics in the back. It was a cute upbeat song! They did another short talk and said goodbye. Then they performed ‘White Confession’. Dongwoo did all the raps but changed the lyrics of Hoya’s part, so everyone was really surprised! Then a last vcr came on. The bgm was ‘Thank You’ and it was hand written letters from the members. It was very cute.
Overall, the fan meeting had really good ideas. I enjoyed the segments a lot, but Woollim’s preparation was just subpar. From the mistakes on stage, to the fact that they didn’t even have all the merch when they opened up sales... ugh smh. But they did seem to try to control the crowd more. They were def more strict with time and not letting Inspirit get away with everything. But it makes sense cause the meet was already 3.5 hours, so if we got everything we wanted it would be another 4 hour meet. And then where will it ever stop? So, I understand why they were a bit more strict. I have to admit, I’m glad Woollim seemed to put more effort into what the fans want. Well, that’s it! That’s the fan account I have for today. I’ll be going to the others as well. If there’s enough material to make another fan account, I’ll def try to make some time for it. Please keep loving and supporting INFINITE and although we’re not as active as we used to be, please continue to support us as well! Just know that even if we’re not active on our blog, we both still actively love and support the boys and we always will~
