I like working in Imperial space.
Not a popular opinion in this line of work. Most don't go for all the regulation and xenophobia.
But I like it.
Enough people are justifiably annoyed by Mandos, so there's a growing market for freelancers willing to play ball.

But there's more variety here than I thought. Not just 'shoot Jedi' and shit. Boss has me cited as a 'Retrieval Specialist.' I'm given something to "retrieve" and then basically free reign.
Nice and quiet most of the time.
Until explosions happen.
The boss likes explosions.
Biggest surprise is the praise. Not used to that.
Hutt space? You do your job and don't get shot for it. Get a generous boss, and they'll glad hand you and keep you cozy. Anyone is too nice, they're buttering you up and probably setting you up to take the fall for something.
Here? Apparently my co workers are just idiots. I'm just shining by comparison.
Didn't think the Empire let that happen.

Vaiken: Like a little slice of Nar Shaddaa. Could be worse.
Somehow.
But its good work. A good job. Keep busy, and the downtime's nice. Good view of Kaas right now. Not used to the rain, but its cozy.
Staring out my window now. Boss sent over brandy. Seems a good woman.
Wish her husband didn't like spiders.
