It hurt her to look at him, physically and emotionally.

She was walking alongside him, slowly inching closer to him.He would glance down at her from time to time with his contagious smile and itwould always make anyone swoon. Their hands would constantly brush eachother's, [Name] would always item her mouth to say sorry until she notices thathe didn't care or take notice of the thoughtless gesture.

She looked up at him with a smile as he talked on and onabout nationals with the biggest grin on his fair face. She rubbed her achingneck when he looked forward.

[Name] was greatly short which meant having to constantlylook up at the boy. Frequently looking up at someone breathtakingly beautifuldoesn't quite benefit the neck.

Sugawara Koushi, a sweet yet sarcastic guy which sheabsolutely adored but she always knew he'd never reciprocate her feelings.

She would look at him, her eyes full of love yet his eyeswere full of care but she didn't interpret it as romantic love. How could she?Being childhood friends always masked love into platonic caring, you couldnever tell the difference.

"Of course he cares about me, we're childhood friendsbut... love? Romantically? Ha..." She'd think on a day to day basiswhenever his smile or laugh made her heart flutter.

They reached their destination, outside of the school gym.Gym shoes squeaking against the shiny clean floor could be heard and excessiveshouts from certain first years.

"So, tomorrow is the pretty important match." Shespoke, her voice laced with enthusiasm.

Sugawara's expression became unreadable. His face gave offexcitement but his eyes held worry.

"You're going, right?" He questioned, a sheepishsmile placed on his pale lips.

[Name] shyly reached over to grab his hand and give it alight squeeze. "Of course."

She looked up at him, slight pain shot through her neck. Her[e/c] eyes widen when they captured his cheeks tinted with pink.

He ran his other hand through his silvery hair. "Aboutthat, um, ha.. uh.."

He shook his head and took a deep breath. "I want youto be there, but... as my date."

[Name] ripped her hands away from his and placed them atopof her warm cheeks. "What?"

He smiled sheepishly. "I like you, [Name]. Romantically..."

She took small steps forward. "Seriously?"

He nodded. "I've had these feelings since we werefifteen but... I never thought you'd feel the same."

[Name] pouted and connected the palm of her hand to hisshoulder.

"Idiot!" She bellowed while lightly punching him.

His face turned pale and he put up his hands."W-What?!"

"I've liked you since we were 10!"

Stopping her violent nature, she then shook her headfuriously. "Did I not make it obvious?"

He shrugged with a smile. "I saw all the signs, but Ijust kept on tricking myself that they weren't true."

She sighed while shaking her head. "Oh, Koushi."

"Well, it's about time." She teased, with amischievous smug grin.

"I'm taking that as a yes, then?" He giggled.

She nodded. "Of course!"

Sugawara was about to head into the gym but she pulled himback.

"Wait, make it official."

He raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"

"I'm yours now and you're mine." She mumbled, herwhole face red.

"...Kiss me."

His brown eyes widen. "Are you sure?"

"Wait no let me think about it." She spoke,pulling on her thinking face.

She threw her hands up in the air. "C'mon Koushi! Ofcourse I am!"

He slowly pulled her close and leaned down to finally presshis lips against her own.

He would probably laugh if you tried to tease him back because it wouldn’t be as...extreme as his. He would also think your excitement is adorable and would try his best to be excited with you, in his own way. If he ever noticed that you were upset or angry, he would do his best to cheer you up and act more serious if need be. Since you’re a good listener, Niles would feel comfortable opening up to you about his past. You two are a perfect match!
