Bokuto glanced nervously between the road and Tsukishima sitting next to him. His boyfriend didn’t look angry but Bokuto knew better. There was this whole aura around him that screamed ‘one wrong word and I’ll make you eat your shoes’. It was scary and, in Bokuto’s opinion completely unnecessary.“Babe, don’t you trust me?” Tsukishima took a deep breath through his nostrils, which Bokuto’s brain instantly translated as 'I’m holding back from snapping at you’.“You reserved a room a NIGHT before the trip. Tell me, how am I supposed to believe you that you made proper, a decent reservation that won’t get canceled on us the moment we arrive?”“Tsukki, have I ever lied to you?”The blond shrugged, “…not that I know.”Bokuto grinned: “See? I’d never lie to you! I took us THE best room at the hotel! It has a perfect view on the beach, it has AC, a mini bar, and a big bed because I know you get nervous and can’t sleep when it’s extremely hot over night.”For a moment, Tsukishima looked truly touched. Sure, this is their first vacation together, but to think that Bokuto would care of such details is… really nice. Because Tsukishima DID hate the heat and he can’t fall asleep if the bed and room are too hot. Then his eyes narrowed again.“Alright. Let’s say I believe you.” Tsukishima’s mouth twitched. “Tell me, what is the price for staying at such remarkable room?”A small fortune, Bokuto’s mind supplied.“…it’s nothing to worry about!”Tsukishima sighed, “Kou…”Bokuto shook his head, “Look, babe, it’s my fault that I forgot to reserve the room on time and I’m ready to pay for it.” A pause. “Literally. But it will be completely worth it.” He turned his head briefly to look at Tsukishima a give him a wink, before focusing on the driving again. In the end, Tsukishima relaxed. He was still worried about the amount of money Bokuto will spend on this vacation but he decided that it’s useless. When it comes to things like this there was no way Tsukishima is going to win an argument. So he just smiles and leans on the windowsill of the car, staring at the road and scenery passing them by. If his boyfriend wants to pamper him like this, he might as well enjoy it.—–“…I hate to admit it, but you’re right,” Tsukishima said. He was standing on the balcony of the hotel room, staring at the red sunset and glistening sea below them. The beach was twenty meters away from their hotel, the sand looked soft and there were even plastic lounge chairs with parasol for renting. It looked like small paradise, hidden from the rest of the world.Bokuto dropped their bags on the floor and joined him, wrapping his hands around Tsukishima’s waist and resting his chin on his shoulder. “I told you I got us the best room.”“…you need to tell me the price to help you with the bill.”“No.”“Kou.”“Hey,” Bokuto turned Tsukishima around in his hold, a smile dancing on his face, “you can buy us ton of strawberry ice cream if you really want, but as I said earlier in the car- I’m taking care of the room. Got it?” Tsukishima scrunched his nose when Bokuto poked it.“…fine.” The blond sighed, “Who knew you were more stubborn than me?”Bokuto laughed and pressed a soft kiss on Tsukishima’s lips.
One of many they will share on this vacation.
