Brownies make things better: Rogue and Loki
Now that she was settled into the tower, Rogue got down to doing something that always relaxed her. Baking. She pulled out a book of old family style recipes and propped it up the best brownie recipe in the world. Nothing was better than fudgy goodness.
When she was done, she wrapped up some and left more on a plate in the kitchen with a note next to it that said "Enjoy." Simple and to the point. The wrapped brownies accompanied her to visit a friend.
Yes, Loki was a friend. Theirs was a strange friendship but she liked him well enough. Sure, he tried to take over the world and all but he failed and hadn't tried since. That was progress. Not many people really understood their friendship and he was often about as warm as the polar bears in the zoo, but still, it was something Rogue treasured. She remembered how they'd met for book shopping and coffee when he was pretending to be Loren and she'd connected with him. It was weird.
It was even more weird to see him in a cell. She nodded at the guard as he let her in, glad Tony had followed through and put her name on the list. Giving him the brownies might be a problem. She smiled, though. "Hey, stranger."
