Cash isn't big on sleepovers, he prefers his own bed because he sleeps the best in it naturally. That being said, Cash does have exceptions — he can be persuaded when it's a very pretty girl. Same pretty girl that's been dodging Cash all semester because she's been 'busy' but suddenly she's not and her roommate is gone for the weekend. Cash isn't big on sleepovers, but obviously he ignored his own rules and came up with some loopholes. He doesn't do full weekends.

It's only been Saturday morning for a few hours when Cash makes his way back to his apartment, armed with breakfast from a fast food place around the block from campus. Cash's mind is blank as he walks into his kitchen so he's not expecting to see a small woman standing in front of his refrigerator, taking in her messy hair and the Hotchkiss Mathletes t-shirt he quickly deduces Kevin had a nice Friday night as well. This isn't the first time Cash has seen a young woman from their university campus in that specific shirt and it won't be the last — Kevin has a lot of admirers. It's the same song and dance every time, a guy like Kevin can't be tied down, eventually they give up. And he always gets his shirt back.

He doesn't want to make this any more awkward than it needs to be so he clears his throat as he sets his bag down. "Uh... good morning?"

Everything is going to plan, there was a hiccup or two with catering but it was resolved before the event began and once all the wealthiest in Riverfield and the surrounding areas was packed in the hotel ballroom, Cash could breathe a sigh of relief and do what he does best: networking. Cash works the room, greeting new faces and charming them and hopefully their wallets, not sure if his empathetic speech about why he picked the charity was enough so he’s making it a point to try and speak to everyone who showed up for at least five minutes. His jaw is starting to hurt but he shoulders on with the help of the endless champagne, needing a break he seeks out his plus one. Just thinking about Ashley makes Cash smile, he can’t believe she got perfectly manicured nails in his heart, but he’s never been happier and he can’t wait to tell her that. Cash can recognize the back of her small blonde head and walks over to her. “I said this earlier but I have to say it again, you are truly the most beautiful woman in the room tonight,” he says into her ear, resting his free hand on her hip.

They had gone bar hopping the night before with Peter and Ariana, so they’re sleeping in, or trying to at least. Someone’s phone keeps going off, and Cash can only ignore it for so long, since there is no snooze button. Sitting up with a groan, a ringer goes off again, and Cash wakes up more when he realizes it’s Ashley’s phone ringing this time, his own device having a few missed calls from her Dad, which makes Cash get up and pick up her’s, answering the call. “Hold on…” He says and puts the phone down as he sits on the edge of the bed next to her, shaking her lightly – her dad says it’s urgent, or Cash would tell him to call back in three hours. “Baby, wake up. Your dad is on the phone.” He says gently. // @tokkiash

Cash knows Ashley doesn’t understand art, and truthfully? He doesn’t expect that from her. A beautiful face and the perfect body. God took so much time making her; he was exhausted by the end and didn’t give her much for intellect. Cash likes that about Ashley, though. Opposites attract and whatnot. But what Cash knows Ashley enjoys? Is getting dressed up and being his sexy arm candy. When invited, he still drags her to art galleries and other events that she probably would not attend if she wasn’t with Cash. He thinks it’s good for her, enriching Ashley's mind even if she doesn’t realize it. Cash thinks she’s smart in other ways though, told her she’s a genius in her own right. Which he believes to be true.

He has the prettiest girl in the room on his arm, and he’s got at least a foot of height above every man. Cocaine used to make Cash feel this confident years ago. After working the room, introducing Ashley to some casual friends he’s made in the art scene, older ones from his university days, they finally look at the pieces that brought him to the art gallery in the first place. Cash opens his mouth to try and interpret what is in front of them when a voice he hasn’t heard in so long reaches his ears.

“Minkyu?”

He squeezes Ashley’s hand out of shock and drops it, turning to face the woman who still dares to call him that. Miranda is probably feeling smug – after close to four years of litigation, they finally managed to settle, leaving Cash writing her a four million-dollar check so she could stop harassing him. He can’t remember if contacting each other is allowed or not. He shouldn’t be surprised she’s there; they enjoyed some of the same things, her husband included. God, this is so fucking awkward, and the chuckle he forces out reflects that. “Hey… Miranda. Should… Should we even be talking right now?”  / @tokkiash
