Touka is always “late”
Well, Touka is always late for everything..

And this turned into a very.. continuous thing! Like arriving after... everyone else. Late to to the party .. per se
Like when the first time she went to save Kaneki from Nishiki
That time she went to save Hide from Kaneki
She was absent Hinami’s mom was killed, but only showed up after
That time she went saving Kaneki from Tsukiyama
She only went upstair after Ayato crashed through the window
And I wonder if I should consider that ... she (and the whole anteiku) were late... to save ..Kuroneki
She was late that time to catch up with Kaneki on her birthday, but she caught up with him the very next time though.
Oh and, of course, because Touka is always late, this is.. inevitable
And this time she couldn’t catch up either.. no matter how fast she runs.
Though, because of her ‘late’ tendencies, and there are theories in which Hide is in the hospital right? With Root A having her running around to only arrived very late. It’s possible that she did sneak out, and found Hide in the sewer after, thus saving him.
And to conclude everything. Yes, Touka is always late. She’s the white rabbit after all!
In addition, Hide is always already there; Tsukiyama will make an entrance Hinami will runaway; Nishiki the sitting man; and Kaneki ... will definitely wander into (shady) places.
