Or, the Ballad of Hammerhead Jack.
In 1987 a young man, more of a boy really, runs away from a home he'd rather forget and heads to the middle of the ocean to become a pirate. Somehow, that plan works out.
This was written over the course of two days. The last scene kept expanding on me, when I was outlining it was a lot more succinct.
The next two chapters are also outlined and introduce Archidemia Benthos and Theophania Barraclough, two more OCs. You can already guess who Archidemia connects him to.

I'm redrawing Tom to look more the way I picture him instead of just being the first design I put down.
I don’t really believe in the supernatural or an afterlife, but I’m having a hard time believing that the death of the staunchest and most positive Mets fan I’ve ever known isn’t at least partially related to the team’s unexpected success this year.
Today, I learned that a guy I’ve known since preschool passed away on Friday morning.
We graduated high school and college together, and even though we weren’t super close every step of the way, we always made it a point to catch up every few months and see what the other was up to. He was my high school boyfriend’s best friend, and we lived down the hall from each other in college.
Two years ago, while I was picking up another friend in Grand Central, he waited an extra hour before meeting up with friends in the city to be able to say hello to me. Last year, we drunkenly spent hours catching up at a party and reminiscing about high school shenanigans.
He was just a good fucking person, and man, I’m really going to miss him.
Here's an awesome video gallery of some of the photos from the STLGBT Outsiders Project. There are soooo many more photos at their fb page which is linked here. So go check it out and support them!!!
