"Bird Dog" by Tom Eddy Call it a night, but on a summer night I disobey those, they are deep and bright. My lover calls to me, singing like a Sunday choir I look up to see a mother crow, The more I leave the more the bed, it grows. I feel independent but I'm humbled all the time. Mixed and muddled in a funny sort of way. Won't be tomorrow what I claim to be today. I can't explain it, but I'm restless like a child. Boy's like a bird dog, I am hungry for the wild. Rough neck business, How could this be a part of my decisions? We might grow old and see the curtains drawn. The world we though we knew we don't know at all. I can't explain it, but I'm restless like a child. Boy's like a bird dog, I am hungry for the wild. I pieced together all the faces that I've met, And found the linkages in life we soon forget. It's often hard just to spread itself out that far. But like a tulip bulb planted in the soil, We can stem at least from winter's lonely toil. These old beginnings have a way of turning out right-side up. So as I teeter on the edge of what could be, I find I'm tempted to see what's behind all three. Dr Bhamba from Better Off Ted, a show which I miss a lot. Not extremely happy with how this turned out, but i'v been staring at it for far to long trying to make it work. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it, especially the episode in the first series called Bioshuffle.
