friends, I have been doing so much research, and one of the many theories I would like to put forward is:
these three lads, who are present at the Old Starre Inn in the last scene of the show, are none other than...
Tom Levy, William Hadley-Bright and Henry Purfois.
TELL ME I AM WRONG
Happily Hadley-Bright and Purfois took very little notice of such distinctions of rank and ancestry. Knowing Tom to be the most talented amongst them, they generally deferred to him in all matters of magical scholarship, and, apart from calling him by his given name (while he addressed them as Mr Purfois and Mr Hadley-Bright) and expecting him to pick up books they left behind them, they were very much inclined to treat him as an equal.
Susanna Clarke, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
John Segundus & Tom Levy, inspired by.. the description of the fic The Grove of Broken-silence by @emmyllou
(I have not read it yet but I know there are fairies and romance and violin playing, and also I know that it’s very good because the author is very talented)
JS&MN but make it a dating sim (if only I had the skills to make it :( anyway)
Introducing our cute protagonist:
Bonus: Segundus reactions
helllooo I have two requests for the AU pairing ask meme!
Tom Levy/John Segundus, The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August AU! I'd love if one (especially Tom!) or both of them are kalachakra, finding each other again and again in every life
2. Tom Levy/John Childermass, science fiction AU! I want to see these boys on a Spaceship, either smooth and high-tech like Star Trek or more of a gritty Western vibe like Firefly.
TomJohn kalachakra AU
"Professor Segundus?"
Said professor turned from the board, his hair even more white as it was covered in chalk dust, and the wrinkles on his face more pronounced as he smiled warmly and whispered: "My dear boy, I was worrying I moved around too much this time, and you had lost interest"
"Not in a thousand lives", Tom Levy half muttered, half sobbed, and he sprinted towards his open arms.

ChilderTom science fiction AU
Tom glanced nervously at the man supervising him, then back at his sweaty hands maneuvering the massive ship, then at the vastness of the universe expanding right in front of his eyes.
"I'm not here to evaluate you, you know", the man - he didn't even get his name - leaned back on his chair, almost irreverently so, and brushed his long black hair out of his face "I thought you might appreciate the company, but maybe I was wrong"
This made Tom frown, and before he could ask what he meant, the man spoke again, impossibly soft: "I know how lonely it can get, just you in the middle of all the stars, how intimidating"; and Tom left out a sigh, and smiled.

+ another ChilderTom science fiction AU! Just because!
"I didn't know they made robots so..." Tom trailed off, inspecting Childermass' curious wiring, his fingers grazing the skin-like surface of his opened chest.
"Ugly?" The robot finished the sentence with what might have been a laugh, and added "I had to fix myself multiple times, we didn't use to have a technician on board"
"I was going to say unique" Tom looked up at his face, bit his lower lip, and tugged on a handful of wires, excited to see what kind of reaction he'd get from such an interesting specimen
Damn where did Strange even find these people??
(Jonathan Strange pupils: Henry Purfois, Tom Levy & William Hadley-Bright, with and without their teacher)
My designs for Henry Purfois, Tom Levy and William Hadley-Bright, in that order
Plus Purfois and Hadley-Bright trying to braid Levy's hair (keyword trying)
