Phew! I lovelovelove this fic and was soooo happy I got to draw something for it! I'm a little late, but I'm still pretty pleased with how it's turned out!

His Until Death

After what had happened at the end of the tournament, was it really any surprise that Harry wasn't doing well? Seeing Cedric die, Voldemort rise, and being practically abandoned back with the Dursley's was the stray that broke the camel's back.

Harry just wants the pain to stop. He wants to finally have some peace and quiet, and it looks like there is only one way for him to accomplish that; through death. When the dementors attack, Harry doesn't have the strength to fight back. With his luck though, he is saved at the last moment and hurriedly taken to Grimmauld place for protection.

The thought of death festers in Harry's mind though and he comes to realize that thoughts of suicide weren't new for him, that they had been there for years. While at Grimmauld place though, Harry doesn't get the chance to take matters into his own hands. It's not until he and Sirius sneak out one day and Harry finally gets another chance to end his life.

Little does Harry know, that a prophecy is going to keep him from what he most desperately desires.

if the cycle has no beginning, you’re the phoenix and I’m the flame

Harry Potter vanished on his sixth birthday, untraceable as if he’d never been. He appeared just as suddenly in 1932. Wandering the streets of London, he's found by the Matron that works at Wool’s orphanage. Not knowing he’s time traveled and refusing to return to the Dursleys, he says he has no place to stay. Tom, intrigued and suspicious at Harry’s sudden appearance, decides to watch him carefully, and becomes his friend. Harry completes the majority of his schooling in Tom’s time, Tom’s only adviser and best friend. In the middle of an especially destructive argument with Tom about horcruxes, Harry vanishes once again without warning to his time near the end of what would have been his sixth year, 1996. Confused and disoriented, with no knowledge of current events, including the war against Voldemort and his Death Eaters, Harry struggles to find his footing in the Wizarding World in which he’d once been so sure of. Holding dubious loyalties, disturbing secrets, an obsession with Slytherin’s class of 1945, and the diary of Tom Riddle, long faded into obscurity, he must decide what knowledge he can afford to tell amidst unfamiliar territory.

“Oh Harry, are you sure?” asked Tom, but his mind was already swirling with ideas.

“Yes,” Harry said, not looking sure at all.

“You have no idea what you’ve done.”

“I do,” Harry whispered.

He looked terribly ashamed. Tom found he didn’t mind this shame, in fact, it was instead delightful.

“Remember,” Tom said. “You chose this.”

“It’s better than what you were going to do.”

Tom laughed. “Then why do you look so devastated?”
