From a full time resident, the climate is pretty mild down on the plateau. Well, usually, it is, in summer, 28°C is about right and in winter, we usually don't get any lower than -10°C. That being said, this year hasn't been mild at all, we reached -15°C back in February and that's not taking into the account the windchill factor (with the wind, it felt around -22°C). This is for Geneva though, I can't speak for the rest of Switzerland because of the very variable topography!

@TOMDERFUL: It can be really, really cold in Switzerland in winter. At some places it can be -10°C. In spring and in autumn it is between ca. 8°C - 15°C. Not hot and not cold. The summer can be really hot; e.g. yesterday it was 33°C =)

Yeah, some of them sold here, but Oh gosh! if chocolate is delicious! How I can get? I'm from Mexico :) I think for correspondence haha! Well I hope one day i can test! thanks for the page looks so delicious.Wow various places, I'll take into account all these places, thanks. I think Switzerland is very attractive, with its landscapes, mountains, is phenomenal. But in terms of climate, it's really cold? it's correct Swiss always say thank by all this is very cool also who are friendly:).

I don't know how you'd be able to get it...my great aunt sends it to my grandmother who gives it to me. You're welcome. :) Climate? In the Winter I'm sure it's cold. I'd love to go in the winter. But in the summer it's not extremely cold. It's really similar to Canada if you've ever been there...okay, approximately, I'd say the highest it gets is 28 degrees Celsius in the summer and -15 in the Winter. I'd love a full time resident's insight. :)

Hii:) i like Switzerland! My bf is Swiss and speaks to me about farms, chocolates and the weather! omg i love the swiss chocolate hahah Someday I want to go to Switzerland, What do you think is the first thing a tourist must do when visiting Switzerland?P.S. Your photographs is so great: D and one more thing, Swiss are the most educated people I know :)

That's so cool! Yes, the Swiss chocolate is absolutely delicious, and if you love that, I would suggest the very first thing you do when you get to Switzerland is find the nearest Merkur, ha. That's what I'll be doing when I go back. Here's the website: http://www.merkur.ch/index.cfm

But on a more serious note, there are just so many things to do in Switzerland! I can't narrow it down to one place you should go. I didn't even go everywhere so I don't know if I'm missing some wonderful place, but here's a list of my favourite cities: Bern (my favourite), Lucerne, Lausanne, Lauterbrunnen...it all depends on what you like. Also, Ascona is really great. It's just different from all the other places I mentioned. There's also this place called Verzasca Valley and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Same with Kleine Scheidegg. It's just amazing to be surrounded by mountains like that.
