tomlaan - Live Performance from Je Bent Zelf Een Festival
I bought one of these records by tomlaan (center) from the RBMA Record Fair at the Brooklyn Flea based on the cover art. Pretty gorgeous. Only 200 made, each with a different hand-made cover. Thankfully, the music is pretty good too.
tomlaan - "Prehodni"
full disclosure: we released this video for tomlaan's banger, "Prehodni". but we're not biased when we say this is a f'in sick video because Devon Hansen (aka Lotide) blew our expectations out the f'in water. watch this in 720p & full screen, let your eyes water and ears tingle.
copies still available of tomlaan's Bangers & Ash 12" here: http://ak.cm/bash001
Tomlaan - Prehodni
Tomlaan is a producer and media designer based in The Hague. Check out this trippy video for his B-side cut Prehodni off his Bangers and Ash release. Slow burner visually and acoustically. Serving suggestion: full screen and lights off.
Video produced by Devon Hansen
tomlaan "Ding" from BASH001, the first release on the Bangers and Ash sublabel of Styles Upon Styles.

"Brooklyn's Bangers & Ash make their first move with this strong debut EP by Dutch beatmaker, tomlaan. Memes from woozy IDM, post-dubstep, instro-hip hop and blunted pop make up the EP's six tracks, moving from pastoral BoC-like downbeats on 'Weatherday' and 'Untitled', to the Balam Acab-styles of 'Want' and what sounds like Muslimgauze gone Detroit on 'Ding'. Flipside he gets more rugged with the bleepin', Zomby-esque lean of 'Cnip', and leaves on a darker, percolated flex with the drowsy 'Prehodni'. STrong stuff - looking fwd to see where this label go from here."
