Was curious if both of you self taught how to make outfits for cosplays? If so what resource materials did you use to learn?
tomo: i learned how to sew in middle school through home ec. my skills were still pretty poor after that. practice helps the most. even now i wouldn’t consider myself a great seamstress. as for resources i think just studying patterns on what your particularly hoping to make is the most useful.
hi!! so im going to be cosplayign akaashi at a con soon and i already have everything ordered except the wig. im so scared, i dont know where to find a good one and im not sure how im going to style his bangs. your cosplays of him are really good, so do you have any advice and/or links to where i could find a good wig? (im so sorry if you've already answered this or if its in like an faq somewhere) thank you so much have a good day.
tomo: thank you! so i bought a very cheap black wig (a bit too cheap for what i should have gotten) and styled it to be like akaashi. so even with a thin cheap wig, it’s possible (not that i recommend this). make sure the one you buy is heat resistant.first apply heat to the hair with curling/straightening iron, then use a plastic curler (not velcro kind) with clip to hold the hair in place. repeat for all around, making sure you keep the center parted. then once the hair has cooled and set, remove all the curlers. depending on how long the hair is it will look really crazy with curls. trim them while wearing the wig to a length appropriate to your face shape. apply heat and curl like before if needed.i hope this helps! i wish i had more time to make proper tutorials!

tomo: i don’t formally have anything planned but i’ve been wanting to do a mini 3rd gym cosplay event because i love that arc and it works really well with the s2 premiere. if people are interested please let me know, as well as what type of event you would like to see it if it happens (cafe, meetup, picnic, etc.).

tomo: i’m an in house artist and customer service rep for a candy/snack distribution company. though lately i’ve been doing a lot more drawing than customer servicing lol.

Have you guys watced korean or japanese dramas? If you have would you recommended some?
tomo: i haven’t watched any japanese dramas (except this short cell phone one with seungri from big bang.) i watch kdrama from time to time. i really like secret garden, love from another star, fated to love you, and pinocchio (i rly like lee jong suk). i just finished the lovers which was pretty funny. i liked reply 1997 but never finished…. same with padam padam…. :/ i’m currently watching the scholar that walks the night and misaeng.i don’t think kou watches that many dramas. i know k dramas are too sad for her.
Do you guys have OCs, if you do can we know about them?
tomo: i have sooo many OCs… most of my OCs are for a series called horror high. idk what i’ll do with them but they exist. i’ve created bios for some of my horror high characters HERE. i tried to cosplay zhenhuan recently since he’s one of my favorites (i love all my children but i love him especially whoops).
if you want to know more about them, pls ask!!! i love talking about my OCs.
kou: i don’t have OCs LOL. i have my final fantasy 14 character if he counts. my baby miqo’te.

tomo: i think i know who this is hehehe. it was nice to see you too and thank you for saying hi! it means a lot to me that you searched for us :’) we didn’t get reika’s signature but we got a picture with her at the after party!!!
