I’ve been writing all sorts of crap all day in my rbs, but let’s settle down now and write ...

Three (random) things about Neyslutrans:

1) My overall impression is — Klemens. Despite the that cataclysmic Já!!!! as the starting point .... this disc seems (to me) more about Klemens’s voice than Matthías’s. Which balances things up with Neysluvara, perhaps.

2) Xtended Hatrið mun sigra is a lovely straight-faced joke. An appropriate centrepiece for an album called consumption trance. The infinitesimal tweak and the X (because stuff sells better when there’s an X in the name) and ... gods above and below how many times have I re-bought music I owned for a new mix?

3) Okay — whatever the hell kind of mind-altering sorcery they pull in ódýr is also in ógleði. That thing that makes you so thankful to them for throwing you into a pit of despair. It’s different though — ódýr makes me want to scream out my own existential crisis, ógleði (so far) just makes me forget how to breathe.
