Zenzi has just used Tom’s tech that can help someone relive a past memory, and Isaac has pulled her out upon Zenzi's memory involving Nathan stopping by her house. Tom, stop! There are no words to excuse what Uncle Barton did to you, but I am begging you.

After recovering a repressed memory of Barton’s abuse, Tom is ready to destroy the capsule pieces, but Zenzi begs him not to. Tom: He used my brain to get to Saturn. But whatever I achieved was never gonna be good enough. Tears are starting to form in his eyes. Tom: I knew he was ashamed. But to experiment on me? To risk my life? He throws the bat he was holding to the floor. He laughs bitterly, but the laugh quickly turns to sobs and he collapses, burying his face into Zenzi’s stomach. Zenzi is crying too. Zenzi: I’m sorry. I’m sorry. After a moment, Tom pulls away from Zenzi. Tom: That man can rot in space. He stands up and wipes the tears from his eyes. Tom: He don’t get no more of my tears. I’m done.]

Why lie to me Rowan? Because I didn’t think someone like you would help someone like me. I needed a favor, but I have nothing to offer you in return. Tom and Rowan are alone in Tom’s lab. Tom: You have a way of making me open up. That never happens. Rowan: Why not? Tom: Because you can fall. Rowan: Or you can fly.
