SACRILEGE “Behind the realms of madness” LP 1985 (’...We sit in the corners, minds twisted with fear, for a world we shall soon see no more’)
1. Lifeline 2. Shadow from Mordor 3. At Death's Door 4. A Violation of Something Sacred 5. The Closing Irony 6. Out of Sight, Out of Mind
“Like the shadow from Mordor, creeping slowly forward Unleashed from it's sanctuary by the devil in man The world thrown into torment by their uncaring greed We stare into the face of death screaming to be freed Their control is complete, we the voiceless have none Beaten into defeat by the arm of the strong Now the shadow gets darker for they've stolen the sun And the sale of our earth has already begun Like Durin's Bane, rising up from the deep There is evil at work while the people do sleep As they plunder the earth, still we sit back and watch Their wrath consumes all that would stand in their path”

SD26 brings back some of my happiest memories
I studied abroad in Rome during my junior year of college, and gained approximately 20 pounds in 5 months. I just couldn’t get enough of the spaghetti bolognese, the pizza melanzane and, most importantly, the gelato al cioccolato. Still, even more so than the food, I loved the family-owned charm of Rome’s many trattorias. Sometimes, there was even a nonna in place of a menu, just serving up what she’d cooked that afternoon. The only place in New York where I’ve found a similar warmth is SD26. Owned by father-daughter team Tony and Marisa May, the Flatiron spot serves up delicious food and even better hospitality. Go for the homemade potato gnocchi and be sure to grab a glass of vino from the restaurant’s high-tech Enomatic Wine Dispensing Unit System.
Experience this authentic spot for yourself with a five-course chef’s table dinner.
