Too deep thoughts keeping me from sleeping.....
People use backstory and all the crap that a character went through (or the lack of crap) to justify a character’s actions no matter what it is. If they murdered, if they said hurtful things, if they stole, no matter what “bad” thing they did, its okay because they “did it because theyre still struggling with emotions from past experiences” or “did it because they had no choice, they had to survive and they did it the best they could” or “they didnt know better, thats how they were raised, its not their fault”...but I wonder how many people, non fictional people in the real world, would appreciate the patience and understanding we show fictional characters? When they do or say something stupid, instead of pushing them away we’re there for them and we remember that “theyre still struggling with emotions from past experiences”...”they did the best they could”...”its not their fault”...
