When the person at my job interview asks me if I skills or job experience
I’ll just ask them to pull old tøp/ghost lore
I miss questions like this, in fact questions in general. Like no joke. (Even if it was just yesterday, wow things move fast)
((OOC: to the point I almost want to address it like this and just stop them or something, but you can continue for now!)
Now it’s all just “Caine, give in”, “Take the ‘Good news’”, “just do it” then other people being sorry and giving me stuff or something. Hopefully it’ll just pass over soon.
I did it. All my oc lore is finally written and masks im happy with are done. I can’t wait to leave them to rot and never touch them again. Jk I’m going to make more of them. Especially Fixit. They will be fun.
Does anyone know the feeling they are writing a fanfic and they are way to deep in world building. I'm currently working on a Harry Potter x Marvel fanfic with an original character from the Harry Potter universe and I'm a person who can write best about things they have visual inspo but I don't want to use boring things I can search up on the Internet so I'm building my visions in Sims. My main character has this multi compartment trunk like mad eye moody from her mom who is originally from the Harry Potter universe and one of the compartments is newt scamander style and I'm building the whole thing... I love it and it look great (in my opinion) but holy hell it takes time, which I luckily currently have. And I think it really captures my vision so I probably will add a few pictures for the people who want them. Sorry for rambling.
I also have the dilemma I would like dragons in the newt scamander style part but dragons are very untamable. So I'm toying with the idea that either one can duplicate the scales or blood or any parts one may need for potions OR the dragons have to wear collars with calming runes inscripted, from the moment they hatch.
I have so much backstory mentally if anyone is interested you can ask :), if you think my story is unrealistic or too much, I don't care I write the story for my own amusement
Just curious but what's your writing process? Like how do you come up with an idea and how do you start writing it and such
My writing process is a whirlwind, that's for sure! I'll put it under a read more because it's very long!
Usually, I'd get inspiration for something and instantly go to write the idea down in a Google Keep note I call the "Idea Bank". I'm very forgetful, so these help me brainstorm and add detail to ideas. I have an Idea Bank for all of my main AUs and ones for random stories/AUs I come up with, and at the moment I have 22 of the latter. (Thanks to Keep's word cap.) I often go back and add new ideas/little details if I think of them.
Omg sausage episode help ??? I'm hyped from the title
Sinclair Farm has belonged to the Sinclair family for multiple generations. It was on the brink of collapse for a while, until Michael Sinclair renovated it and saved it from going under. Michael ran the farm with his wife Glenda for years, raising their twin daughters Caoihme and Roisin on the land. Michael is a very serious, often grumpy man, who has no qualms letting people know what he thinks of them, but is extremely family-oriented and deeply loves his relatives.
Now, their daughters have grown up, and Glenda has passed from an illness over ten years ago. Caoimhe has devoted her adult life to God, and became a nun in her twenties.
Roisin is married to a man named Domhnall, who Michael often gives a hard time, not thinking he's good enough for his daughter, then again, no one could be in Michael's eyes. Roisin has a very similar temperament to her father and mostly spends her time running the household and trying to keep her eldest daughter Orla in check.
Domhnall, Roisin's husband, is a little dim-witted, but is a very skilled farmer and gardener. He absolutely worships the ground his wife walks on and adores his children. Sometimes his laid back parenting skills clash with his wife's stricter rules, however.
Orla is a bit of a wild child, often coming home late and encouraging her usually well behaved best friend Aoife to rebel. She is often getting into trouble with the nuns at her school, and her aunt Caoimhe sees a lot of herself in Orla at that age. Orla and her mother often clash.
Sinead is a dream child, well behaved and extremely studious. Her goody two shoes behaviour gets on the nerves of her older sister, who often makes fun of her for being a boffin. Sinead loves animals, and is a vegetarian, much to her mother's chagrin. She wants to be a vet when she's older.
Rian is still young, but is already showing signs of loving the outdoors.
Caoimhe lives in the parish with the other nuns, and is a well respected member of the community. Roisin and her don't have the best of relationships, as Roisin remembers what an out of control mess she used to be before suddenly turning to the light.
Michael's twin brother Gerry moved in just over a year ago in a caravan on their land. He helps out with the farming sometimes, but usually spends his time in his caravan, smoking a joint and playing guitar. His grandniece Orla thinks he's the coolest person, but Roisin thinks he's a lazy sod.
