Railway 3-0 Wombwell Town

Table toppers came to Station View on Saturday, a game that the home team were keen to win to close the gap between themselves and the promotion spots.

Railway had a great first half, creating some fantastic opportunities, but it looked like both teams were going to go in level at the half time...that was until Luca Bolino created a chance in the 41st minute and he wasn't going to be denied.

It only took three minutes more for Railway to increase their score as Sam Clothier took advantage of a defensive lapse, and Railway lead 2-0 at the break.

Second half was just as furious as the first, with both teams getting forward at every opportunity.

It took until the 75th minute for Railway to seal the victory, when Joel Barker struck to make it 3-0. There was no coming back from that for Wombwell.

The three points meant that Railway moved up to tenth in the league, with a game in hand on most above them. Another good Saturday afternoon of competitive football at Station View.

Harrogate Railway 2-1 Athersley Recreation

Athersley Recreation were the visitors to Station View on Saturday 14th October, on a gloriously sunny and warm afternoon.

A keenly contested game that saw the home team get two goals up, with Luca Bolino putting the home team ahead on 48 minutes, and Jack Briscoe scoring an own-goal in the 51st minute.

The visitors managed to get a goal back; Sam Thompson netting in the 80th minute...but Railway controlled the final minutes to ensure that all three points stayed at Station View.
