Blindly Going into Life
When you leave high school and join the daring new world of university at least one teacher in your high school career told you that it’s going to be hard but that’s the price you pay for freedom. I get it and understand it but everything is fighting me something that should be easy like course registration has been an on going nightmare. I just want to go back to high school for one year and have the time to think and figure out what I want to do. I believe the one flaw in our school system is having taken out grade thirteen, I understand it wasn’t a crucial year back in the day, but the benefit was time. Allowing teenagers to grow into adulthood rather than forcing them into adulthood when majority of us haven’t even mentally developed enough. Looking at the past generations they weren’t exposed to all the career options we have now. Don’t get me wrong it’s great having options but that can lead to stress and anxiety that aren’t really needed at all. We face the on going problem of having to compete for everything whether it be a part time job, a slot in a good university or college, or even course registration. I don’t mean to be so negative, yes I’m sure there are some positives somewhere but all I see is a polite version of the hunger games. I’m now going to stop ranting on and on because that won’t fix anything, instead I’m going to keep my head up and pull through
