To new beginnings and adamant ambitions!
Recently I joined the internship known as SEACHAMPA, The group's purpose is to help spread Southeast asian culture through the arts and they do so by holding classes at a building in China Town. These classes are used to give music or language lessons. To be truthful, this is my first time doing any sort of internship and... I'm actually really excited to be a part of this group. I want to do what I can in order to help this group not only succeed in what they set out to do, but also to help them flourish and spread Southeast Asian Culture.
What is Southeast Asian Culture? Well, what is Asian Culture?
It's hard to even begin to define what that means. As gone over in class, Culture would be: language, manners, art, music, punishments, experiences, etc. So, then, what is Asian Culture? I suppose it's those very things but instead of it being in a broad aspect, it's limited to the Asian continent. Furthermore, when we get even more specific with Southeast Asian Culture, it's targeted towards those areas: Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, and many more.
Anyhow, SEACHAMPA will be a wonderful experience. So far, it's been spectacular, I've already made friends and connections through the group and I expect to make even more. Through that group I was able to attend the Half Moon Festival.

At the festival there were a number of us from the internship advertising what we do and reaching out to others in the China Town community. We informed many about our Dance, Music, Language and even tutoring sessions. It may not be much, but to others it means so much to them.
Working at SEACHAMPA will indeed be a life changing and wonderful experience and so, like the title states...
