I hope you fall in love with the boy who learns to speak not only your language but the language of your soul; so you don’t have to spend your life translating your words. I hope when it rains, he knows if your hair is curled and if today is a wash day. I hope it is not curled and it is wash day, so he can sweep you into his arms and onto the street and you will dance, sing, laugh, and kiss in the rain. I hope your heart does the little ‘!’ every time you see him and I hope his smile makes you smile. I hope he learns your sport. I hope you learn his. I hope he understands your love language. I hope the first time he says “I love you” and when you ask how much he says “the sun, the moon, and all the stars.” I hope you can fall in love knowing that someone will catch you. I wish you can tell him what you’re feeling and he listens without interruption. I hope he listens to your conspiracy theories and your questions about the universe. I hope he falls in love with the way you think. I hope he joins your english literature book club consisting of you, him, and your 7 personalities. I hope when you wake up, he tells you about his dreams. I hope he calls you “beloved” and I hope he you writes you letters. I hope he picks you up from work and asks you about your day. I hope you tell him and he tells you about his. I hope someday you bring him skiing. I hope when he tells you to bring a jacket and you don’t, he gives you his hoodie without saying “I told you so.” I hope every time he hugs you you feel like you’re standing under the sunlight. I hope he kisses you in between your eyebrows when you frown. I hope he understands your sarcasm and I hope you understand his. I hope he treats you like a princess. I hope he brings you to the aquarium, points to the ugliest fish he sees and says “that one’s you”, and then he takes you to the planetarium and tells you you’re more beautiful than all the stars in the sky. I hope you fall in love with the boy who will proudly take your hand in public. I hope he kisses you in front of his friends. I hope your friends describe the way he looks at you when you’re not looking at him. I hope you love him so much it hurts. I hope he becomes your everything and you become his. I hope when he looks at you, you can see love radiating in his face. I hope he never gives you a reason to leave. I hope he adores you more than a human being can adore. I hope he loves you more than he thought capable of loving. I hope you grow old together, body and mind, and I hope his love grows rather than wavers. FINAL BRIEF: EVERYDAY THINGS - PHOTOGRAPHY 

Photo 1 is of this see-through clock we have on the window sill in our kitchen.

During this time in quarantine, we have so much extra time on our hands, and with this clock you can literally watch time go by. I really like being able to watch the cogs of the clock interlock and move together in sync. 

I did some cropping and editing of the brightness and vibrance in this photo.

Destroying Time

If you give me Time and she wasn't asked for, I will tear apart her smooth vowels and get lost in the clicking sounds of her consonants until I'm so far gone that nobody will know if I will return.

If you give me Time and she's unwilling, I'll excuse the disaster that I provoked, and I'll claim that she asked for it, begged for it even, and I'll splay her mutilated limbs out in front of me like sizzling meat, ready to be devoured.

Time claims. She ingests our feelings and actions, and if I don't destroy her first, she will eat me alive.
