Writing a public retirement statement never works for me. Every time I try to make a definitive statement on anything, I’m always like “Well actually...”

Also I just found out there’s a Toonbook Discord, and I’m incredibly regretful I didn’t find out about it until now. I’ve wanted to reconnect with the Toonbook homies for a hot minute now. Anyone got an invite link they can send me?

way back in the toonbook days i had an alter ego named jacqueline who did icon requests. and yall. i did so many requests LOL. theres 104 pics in this folder from 2015. "jacqueline" was only ever active for a few months. but i looooved the popularity. i remember i was accused of using a template (i never did, i think i only ever reused a particular lineart once or twice). i recognize a lot of these names. i know some people are still very much active in the community, which is so cool

theres nothing really entertaining in most of these, but its an interesting look at the past that has otherwise been wiped from existence

(context: stats were shown in a sidebar on the front page and we were very excited to hit 1 million comments)

(context: 2 very notorious troublemakers. the second screenshot is titled "IT IS ABOUT TIME." a lot of people didnt like maso)

(context: the screenshots are titled "most liked comments ever." because the community was so small, it was a feat to get more than 4-5 likes on a comment.

(context: little green fist badge made me starstruck. the screenshot is titled "never seen this many mods on one post")

Sir Snoinkers is back!

Spread the word around! Sir Snoinkers is back in town! I got a little lonely and nostalgic yesterday and missed Toonbook again, so I decided I’d make a Tumblr to reconnect with you guys. I’m probably not gonna be very active, but I’ll be sure to post from time to time. Feel free to follow me or ask me a question! I’m always down to chat.
