i think conflating godstiel arc directly with racism doesn’t make sense when it’s mostly just the idea of placing raphael as the antagonist/“traditionalist” in a literal civil war arc thats the actual point of contention and Gordon’s weird writing really has nothing to do with homophobia it is almost entirely a racial narrative that’s entirely tone deaf from the race of the character it’s focusing on
the fact that raphael is the villain of godstiel arc is undeniably racist, he's one of i think two? black characters in the entire season (rufus, the other one, ends up dead as part of the gamblian side character cull). that alone is enough to make it racist. but he's also intensely underdeveloped, like, he has some of the least screen time of any season-long big bad. he's also the only archangel who never gets brought back, and why would he be? they never bothered to give him a personality, because of racism, so bringing him back wouldn't have brought anything particularly unique to the table in terms of character, because he had no personality other than "evil black guy" (or later, evil black woman). like actually everything about raphael's treatment sucks ass.
and re: gordon and homophobia. like. concepts of race are intimately tied up with concepts of gender. like, bloodlust is at least partly about dean's desire to submit to a powerful masculine figure (clearly intentionally so. see: the "you can't just fill up that hole with whoever you want to" line), and in order to fully analyze the racism in that episode you have to admit that. because it's relying on the stereotype of black men as hypermasculine and sexually dominant. like you have to admit that bloodlust in particular is about dean and gordon being serial killers as allegory for being gay in order to fully understand the racism of the episode.
it's all connected it's all tied up together. everything feeds off everything else.
