“Like idk hwo to describe it but I like it bc it’s slightly realistic. Like I know a lot of writers who write yandere or whatever and it's like "he loves u vv much and never leaves but also knows when u need personal space and your feelings to be heard" like no hate but CMONNN”
(Without bashing anyone ofc) I understand what you mean. My interpretation of a yandere is someone who’s innately selfish. Because THEY love you so much, they’re willing to break the law, hurt other ppl and or kidnapp/hurt you to have you. They’re so ruthless with their pursuit of you, they won’t let nothing stand in their way (even death in some cases).
I feel like it’s like a spectrum of how selfish they can be, which obvious depends on the story, reader and their personality.
So for the butcher, imagine like him like those weird/loserish type of guys, who lacks self awareness (hence why he lacks shame and manners). He doesn’t have a problem with being gross or overtly toxic with or about the reader, he doesn’t even think it’s wrong. So I would say…pretty selfish lol 😂
But there could be a yandere who IS self aware or has a nicer/kinder personality, so not ALL of their actions could be straight up selfishness. Nevertheless still puts themselves first if needed to be. Like I imagine this type would want to do things the “right way” when courting the reader/early stages of the relationship. maybe because of morals or for more practical reasons like avoiding issues along the way. However, I can imagine if the reader was adamant of not being together then they’re would feel “forced” to pull out the big guns (cue duck tape noise) and that’s when they get really selfish.
That’s why yandere are fun because at the core of these stories they have the same premise, but depending on how selfish you write them along with what the story is, how their and the reader’s personality is, the story can be a interesting or fun read.
Overall, you make a valid point.
As far as more stories, I’m looking forward to what else I’ll write (if I actually sit down and do it). I don’t like to make promises because I feel I’m less likely to do it (bad task starter especially with one expectations).
Honestly I spent a really long time just reading stories. A long time ago, I did write a few (lowkey cringe lol). But they didn’t get any traction (wasn’t writing for them to be but yeah). So I’m started again (reasons: to have a hobby, use to an avid writer and reader growing up, i want to use my brain more, honestly afraid of my phone usage and the effect it has on my brain, afraid of dementia and finally for shit and giggles) and I was surprised on how well received it is. (Not me dumping my whole life story 😭)
But anyways, thank you for sending in this ask tooth anon (can I call you that? ☺️). Feel free to send in more.
