Issue 7 | Miss May I

Happy Thursday Everyone!,

We are very excited to announce our cover artist for our February issue. This issue we decided to feature Miss May I on the cover! Since their 5th studio release Deathless this past summer, we’ve seen Miss May I grow astronomically as a band both in sound and tone. As well as headlining Vans Warped Tour twice and playing Mayhem Festival once, we figured they deserved the recognition. Check out the issue below or click here to read!

This song comes off of one of my favorite metal albums of all-time, Animal by Animosity. Their first two albums, Shut it Down and Empires, showed great progression in their style. Animal improved on both and displayed some of the best blending of death metal, tech death, and progressive, and hardcore.

Fun fact, this album was produced by Kurt Ballou of Converge. Bassist Evan Brewer went on to play in The Faceless. Drummer Navene K went on to play in Animals as Leaders and also has a sweet side project.
