Top 5 uses of lighting in skam france?
halla anon, damn this one was hard, but again really fun, thank you for this!1. Vendredi 20:27
The whole scene in the tunnel with the flashlight is just mf brilliant. How we never really see their entire faces when the flashlight is on, only parts of their features - bc neither one of them is complete yet. They’re equally afraid, one of the darkness and the other one of the light.. They constantly switch from complete darkness to the soft lighting when Eliott turns on the flashlight, and it’s like he can’t really decide; should he stay in the darkness or will he choose the light?? and honestly this scene is just one big tease and I cannot stress how much I love it. 2. Vendredi 23:37
ahdwjsk I get the chills just looking at this screenshot. This entire scene is so fucking uncomfortable to watch (I almost didn’t include it bc I couldn’t bear to watch the scene again). The orange/red light is so.. unnerving? you know it just makes you uncomfortable, just like the entire scene does, and idk I just think the lighting in this scene highlights that.
3. Samedi 9:17
The soft morning light, just makes them both look like absolute angels. Everything about this scene just screams SOFT. The boys look soft as hell, their touches are soft, the conversation is soft and the lighting is SOFT. Oh, did I mention SOFT???
4. Vendredi 19:34
This lighting here is just so .. cozy?? and that’s essentially what this scene is about. It’s Lucas and Eliott getting to know each other, getting comfortable around each other and the soft lighting mixed with this kind of antique vibe that Eliott’s place has got going on, just makes this scene so comfortable. You can literally feel how at ease the boys are with each other and my heart turns to jell-o whenever I watch this scene
5. Jeudi 01:48
Ugh, this must be the definition of feeling blue, huh? lmao. No but, I’ve always found it unnerving when people sit in the dark, with just the TV on, bc the lighting is so .. depressing? I really felt how fucking alone Lucas and Manon felt at that moment, in the middle of the night, with nothing but the the soft light from the TV.
My other one was unique! New one: top 5 adult beverages!
:D I assume you mean alcoholic beverages and I’ll be honest I’m not super well-versed in that world but I’ll do my best
5. Mojito4. Peach bellini3. Peach schnapps + orange juice2. Apple juice + caramel vodka1. MMMARGARITA
Top 5 AU's
1. Coffee shop au’s.. I’m such a slut for them idk why, but whenever I see a fic with barista/customer set-up, I’m like, yas here we go again!
2. Fake dating. Probably also why I’m writing a fic with that plot, bc I’m a sucker for it lmao
3. Enemies to lovers. What can I say? I’m a basic bitch 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
4. Popular guy makes a bet with someone but end up falling hard for the person they were supposed to be playing *sighs*
5. Neighbors au. There’s just something about those awkward run-ins at stairways and the sexual tension in elevators, that gets me every time
top 5 hobbies that you appreciate but aren't personally into?
1: Knowing things about nature. Like....local wildlife or geology or whatnot. I really admire that knowledge and like people sharing it, but haven't ever been able to care enough on my own.
2: Theater™. I listened to a lot of musicals growing up but the rate at which I add new musicals to my knowledge pool is nearly nil. But I appreciate the folks out there going to see musicals where the pitch is like...."Two barracudas have a meet cute in the great pacific garbage patch in this jukebox musical of Nirvana songs." Also bonus points for specifically "local theater."
3: Reading massive web serials. Worm was enough for me, for a lifetime, thank you. But I'm glad that both the writers for those web serials exist, and also the audiences exist.
4: Slutting it up.
5: Maker spaces. I love that there are people out there facilitating the creation of illegal 40k miniatures and also repairing chairs in the same building.
I ended up deleting a few of the top 5's I was sent, since I'm running out of steam on them (I have two more left that I'll probably do, but it might just be 1).
But this was great and I would love to do more ask memes in the future. I'll try to start looking for some, but failing that, I might just start home growing them (with other people being free to reblog/use them).
Top 5 "metas" in games you've played? This might devolve into "top 5 games with some sort of rotation/patches" but it might somehow spark something interesting.
Hmm. Having to be "games I've played" makes this a bit rougher because I rarely play at a level where the meta matters, in pretty much any context. But if I expand it to "games I follow closely" I'll go with:
1: Post Krowtation MSEM. Despite the format losing several important sets, we had a huge surge of players, and a couple of really high impact sets enter the format (EIA and DSS being shining examples). I feel like that was one of the last times that I really felt like I fully understood the format, and was at the height of my deckbuilding and playing powers. I've had some wins since, but most of them feel like flukes/cards carrying me.
2: Post MH2, pre LTR modern. I am a huge MH2 apologist, and although that format definitely had issues (Lurrus and Yorion still legal), it had a pretty healthy metagame with a lot of give and take. Basically every macro archetype was playable, a lot of broken cards kept each other in check (Lurrus meant you couldn't play Grief), and the best decks were ones I generally liked watching and didn't mind playing against.
3: The International 7 (2017) in Dota2 was so much fun to watch. Team Liquid's miracle run + bracket reset was crazy, and the casters added a ton of depth to it. I remember screaming at the tv when MinD_ContRoL got to pick Nature's Prophet, who was insane on that patch, in Game 1 of the grand finals because of all the other targeted bans he and his team soaked up. At the time, the game had 112 heroes, and over the course of the tournament, 109 were picked or banned. And I don't remember particularly hating any of the most popular heroes at the time (thankfully I liked rat dota so Nature's Prophet being as deeply fucked up as he was wasn't miserable to watch).
4: Season 13 League of Legends. I fell off pretty hard after 14.1, and I think a weirdly big factor of that was the removal of mythic items. Obviously the mythic items had some really wild balancing moments, and it definitely wasn't all good (Stridebreaker having a dash was insane) but I really loved how many champions went from unplayable to actively good because they could add an item that shored up a huge weakness (Garen getting a dash notwithstanding). With the 14.1 item changes, I felt like a lot of power had been taken out of the game. I also appreciated the late Season 12 durability changes. Probably wasn't a good era in pro league, but I no longer followed pro league, so whatever.
5: Svergard's first season of REV (ie launch era). I loved the Thin the Veil decks, as well as the GW 8 explore decks. While I didn't ever feel like I was the strongest player in the room, there was so much exploring to do, and I have a lot of fond memories of driving engagement and stuff.
