Trademark: the way you draw hair and how you shape heads (if that makes sense) is just like really distinct and spot on I could spot your art from a mile a way.
ooo this is interesting! I never thought that my faces or heads would be distinctive. Hair I definitely understand tho. I tend to draw the same few hairstyles on everyone lmao. I'm glad you can tell my art apart from others because I'm always afraid my art is super generic XD
(OC ask thing) One of my characters is kinda a pyromaniac
Tell me a fact about your oc and I will respond with a semi-related fact about mine
Interesting!! What do you mean by kinda? Now I’m curious!
Matelus can control flames! You know the thing in the Disney Animated Hercules, where Hades flames over? He does the same thing when he’s really mad about something!
Rec day is a monthly event we host, to spread a little love in the fandom!
To participate, just make a post with your favorite RVB fanwork(s) and tag it “RVB rec day” All recs will be reblogged here, and hopefully we can make the day of some of the talented writers, artists, fanmixers, graphic makers and fanworkers.
And another one bites the dust! Or ash, or crystals. This pair of speedpaint commissions are for @sarasona1205 and you can learn more about these mages on her blog @magicsexile!
On a scale if meh to WATCH IT RIGHT NOW how much would you reccomend watching voltron?
Honestly... it's really not as good as most people say it is. If you like (dare i say cookie cutter) sci-fi stuff with some extra stuff thrown in, I would recommend it! but if you are really into character development and storyline its kinda on the 2-dimensional side. Basically, if you are willing to do 90% of the work regarding character development, headcanons, etc. its great but if you want good solid canon foundations it's really lacking. the show has a lot of potential (which is sometimes all you need to enjoy something) but the writing leaves a lot to be desired.
And I'm not saying there is no character development, it's just that when there is development its usually immediately forgotten about (unless they are a fan favorite) and the character is back to square one.
I like it, but it's painfully overrated. If you are really picky about writing choices, you probably won't like it, but if you are fine with average level writing it go ahead! If anything its fun to work with what you have, and the art is really nice. And if you like rvb stuff it seems to be popular with that demographic for obvious reasons so that may also help you warm up to it better!
Hmm… “Flea markets don’t carry fleas, you know?” So, this will be AU and not in WIP world, but here goes!
Read More for length!
“I don’t know what you were expecting,” Gwendolyn picked up a carved wolf, grinning at it before waving it at her friend. “It’s a flea market… although this one is less… antique-y and far more crafty than the ones I normally go to.”
“A flea market Gwennie. And put that thing down; it’s creepy!”
“It’s wood Scarlet.” Gwendolyn replaced the wolf with a nearby bracelet. Humming under her breath as she looked closer at the details on the wooden beads, she considered how much cash she could afford to spare… they hadn’t even reached their fifth stall yet and she wanted to buy. “And yes, a flea mar…”
Suspicious, Gwendolyn glanced back towards Scarlet, narrowing her eyes. “Flea markets don’t carry fleas, you know?”
“O-of course not! But you know, for people who take names literally…”
“We are not buying fleas.”
Scarlet pouted, reaching for her wallet to pull out a ten, not waiting for her change as she dragged Gwendolyn away from the stall… and about three more carvings she had been eyeing. “Can you imagine if we put fleas all over your sister’s room though?”
“No. And I don’t want to.” Gwendolyn couldn’t quite hold back the smile, slipping the bracelet onto her wrist after only a moment’s hesitation. “Thanks for this.”
“Uh-huh. You spring for lunch and we’ll call it even.” Scarlet caught Gwendolyn eyeing a stall full of baby clothes of all things and tugged on her arm. “You don’t even have a boyfriend; why are you staring at baby clothes? Something you need to tell me?”
“No! But they’re cute… ooh, look! The book lady I told you about!” Gwendolyn managed to slip away, darting towards a nearby stall with more speed than normal.
“Which one?”
“Look; she made a clock with Pride and Prejudice! And the bookmarks…”
“You don’t even like reading,” Scarlet stared down at the stall, ignoring the woman talking to another customer. “What are you so excited about?”
“Because it looks cool! And I like some books, like-” Gwendolyn gasped, reaching out and just not touching one of the clocks. “Lettie, look! It’s a Shakespeare clock! Wait, no, I want to buy… Scarlet!”
“I am saving you from yourself Gwennie, before you spend more than ten dollars on a destroyed book with a clock face,” Scarlet grinned, knowing that Gwendolyn wasn’t truly upset. Besides, if Gwendolyn had actually wanted to buy it, she wouldn’t have allowed herself to get dragged away. “Besides, there are loads more stalls here, and the farmer’s market across the street. Look around before you commit to buying anything.”
“Fine…”
“Also, you have to save money for lunch, remember?” Scarlet looked around, knowing none of the restaurants around the area. She’d heard of a flea market and picked up Gwendolyn without planning that far in advance. “What’s good around here anyway?”
“Nothing; there aren’t restaurants until you get further into town. Ooh, but there’s always food trucks just a couple streets down!”
Scarlet groaned, allowing herself to be dragged away this time, barely listening to Gwendolyn’s chatter. She loved hanging out with her friend -her only friend- but Gwendolyn knew far too much about fast food and food trucks for her liking.
Obviously, she’d have to take a weekend to educate Gwendolyn on what “food” actually was. If you weren’t going to cook it yourself, you might as well do it right…
Especially after not being able to buy fleas for what would have been the most amazing prank of all time!
