Top Jazz - Duke Ellington and his Orchestra (1989)
Bought this in the little used bookstore in New Hampshire that really helped shape a lot of my musical/literary tastes in high school. In addition to lovingly underlined literature and volumes like The Book of the Subgenius and a then-out-of-print copy of The Man Who Fell to Earth, I picked up issues of Motorbooty and bOING bOING (back when it was a print magazine!), the latter of which taught me about goth.
Anyway, I'm not sure how they ended up having a copy of a Duke Ellington compilation from Italy, but it's pretty good. "Black and Tan Fantasy" is a top-notch song.
