Jetzt folgt auch der erste Rennbericht aus dem Südwesten Deutschlands. Ich bin am Sonntag zum bekannten Schinderhannes Marathon in Emmelshausen (in der Nähe von Koblenz) gefahren.

Dort habe ich an der Kurzstrecke mit 39km und 800 Höhenmetern teilgenommen. Das Wetter war etwas kühl, aber trocken und so konnte man guter Dinge an den Start gehen. Das Rennen war mit knapp 500 Teilnehmern ausverkauft und im Startbereich gab es ein großes Drängeln und Schieben. Leider hatte ich, trotz frühzeitigem Einreihen, nur eine mäßige Startaufstellung erwischt, was sich bei der schmalen Einführungsrunde als Nachteil herausstellen sollte. Aufgrund dieser Tatsache und großen Teilnehmerzahl waren die ersten 10-15 Kilometer eher ein mitschwimmen, statt eines Fahrens nach eigenem Tempo. Dann entwickelte sich eine Gruppe, die stetig Teilnehmer überholte und gut harmonisierte. Die letzten 10 Kilometer versuchte ich noch einmal, Gas zu geben, da ich noch einige Körner verspürte. Dies gelang mir auch und ich konnte noch einige Plätze gutmachen. Im Zieleinlauf war es dann der 16 Platz in meiner Altersklasse, mit dem ich ganz zufrieden bin.
