Rory Gallagher played his iconic 1961 Fender Stratocaster on the song "I Wonder Who." This guitar was his main instrument throughout his career and is easily recognizable by its worn, weathered appearance. The Stratocaster, originally sunburst in color, had most of its paint worn off due to Gallagher's intense playing style and sweat.
Rory bought this guitar for £100 in 1963 on credit from the owner of Crowley’s Music Store in Cork, Michael Crowley. According to the legend, this was the first Stratocaster to ever reach Ireland.
