I think this is the fluff of this season of The Omegaverse Project. It's about an alpha teacher (Ooji-sensei) who now works with his high school love, the beta counselor (Yasumi-sensei). He confessed back in school but was turned down, very nicely I might add. And now he's still in love and doesn't know if Yasumi even remembers him.
