You know, I really do feel bad about how much members of the gay community have to put up with comments re: their sex life. I see ppl always making these conjectures about DD and GG’s sex life and it’s like common discourse! On a more personal level, I’ve had to see my twin and his fiancé field questions about their sex life all the time. Ppl will literally ask them point blank who is the boy and who is the girl? Or who’s topping who? Really shitty questions about their sex life that they have no business asking. And they both handle those questions with way more grace than I ever could but I have yet to have anyone ask me or my boyfriend these types of invasive inappropriate questions about our sex life bc what’s apparently inappropriate to ask for a hetero couple is totally cool and okay if both partners are male! It’s such a shitty double standard

Yeah, Anon. 😔 I try to be patient and understanding of those sorts of people, but even I have my limits. People don't realize how utterly homophobic they are being when they say things like that.
But here's the thing: they totally should. All it would take would be the most casual, split-second reflection for someone to realize how fucking awful comments like that are. But they don't do it because they are entitled and clueless and lack active empathy.
Normalize a world where people treat gay couples with as much basic respect as they do het ones.
