This... wasn't good. Staring at her phone while she sat in the coffee shop, a steaming mug of coffee with a couple extra shots of espresso in it sat before her as she stared. The last thing she needed was for Kyle to come back into her life, and yet here he was, messaging her with a thinly veiled threat. She had denied him the ability to see his daughter, on the grounds that he was a piece of shit... but apparently that had only set her up to be threatened with the real possibility of needing a lawyer to figure this shit out.
The problem was... she was a single mother, living alone with her daughter. What judge was going to rule in her favor?
Looking up, she blinks a few times as her surroundings come in focus, and as they do, one particular person draws her attention. Brightening some at the prospect of having somebody to talk to, she lifts a hand and waves, "Hey!' she calls by way of gathering their attention.
