I love projecting onto fictional characters..... I, too, had my history destroyed by imperialist conquerors who yes I'm technically related to and that very relation has distanced me from growing up among my own culture even though my nonwhite mom singlehandedly raised me bc my dad was a turd....... but I look like one of them and it means I'll never fit in among the only people I actually identify with
