Lianshi could only gasp as the sudden lip-contact ended, her eyes wide, cheeks as red as her clothing. “L-Lady Lingqi…?”
Lingqi contemplated before doing that, but in the end, a kiss was all she was able to return to Lianshi for giving her refuge when she needed it the most. Ever since Lingqi’s failed attempt at claiming the Red Hare, she fled to Wu thinking that Wei was too hostile... And she had her own reasons for avoiding the north anyway.
Lingqi did not know what luck has befallen her for she was fortunate enough to be taken in by this kind woman who she later on knew as one of the maids of the princess of Wu. The latter did not seem to notice her presence-- that or Lianshi found a way to convince the princess to let Lingqi stay safe. Overtime that kindness and openness of Lianshi resulted in the fugitive developing an attraction for her.
The silver haired girl parted hesitantly, turning away as if shying away from something she wanted to say. “I want to thank you for...” She looked back, her grey eyes gleaming with her feelings. “For everything you have done for me.”

“O-oh…please excuse me!” Lianshi gasped, withdrawing her hands behind her back, completely unaware that Lingqi was ogling her chest. “I tripped over my dress and reached out to grab something…please forgive me…”
Lingqi distracted herself from staring at Lianshi’s chest and met the black haired woman’s excuse with great skepticism. She would have understood if Lianshi had pulled her arm or held her shoulders, but her chest of all places? “I have a very hard time believing that, miss.”
