He wasn’t sure what he’d expected it to feel like—holding flames, but it didn’t hurt—the scalding heat more like the brace of plunging your hand into a freshly drawn bath. Pleasant almost.

Johnny’s hand was surprisingly soft to touch too—not calloused like fingers tended to be.
