A Smaller God

Description: The ancient Toreador, Lord Maliadus, orders a Russian ballerina from Nosferatu in Paris and is already enjoying his new acquisition.

— This damn cold — the lord grumbled, throwing a log on the fire. Sparks flew and the flames shot up, sending huge shadows darting across the hall. The lord pulled your wool robe even tighter around you, silently regretting not having worn anything else.

The proximity of the open flames in the fireplace unsettled the beast within his mind, but his greater concern was you. His cold fingers lingered on your warm skin, stroking it in circles.

But his hand was discarded with a subtle movement, the slender leg on which his hand rested. A smile stretched his lips, long since captured by the kiss of death — You should start getting used to it, mon bel petit oiseau — and his hand again covered the soft flesh of the young body. This time his fingers descended lower, to your knees. He continued to massage your legs, as if wanting to draw all the warmth from the very marrow of your bones.

In one smooth motion, he grabbed your ankles with one hand and lifted them onto his lap. Now he moved all the way down. His gaze lingered on your feet, his fingers caressing the knuckles of your delicate feet, bruised and unhealed, calloused from your pointe shoes. The coolness soothed your chafed skin, but it also reminded you of your unenviable position as a prisoner of the living dead, a ghoul, a vampire, a creature of the night, spoken of in old tales and legends.

Your eyelashes fluttered, wet with tears, not for the first time. Surely, if you had the strength, you would cry, as you did when you were left at home for too long, frightened by the weight of soundlessness.

Meliadus smiled kindly, gently scolding you — You have nothing to fear with me, because all the monsters are outside.

#WODtober day 21 - First Bite Tastes Best

Veronica would argue if it tasted the best or if she could even remember what it tasted like - she can only remember insane hunger

But I wanted to draw this long ago anyway. William - Veronica's sire, fed her the mob boss that was holding her hostage (you can read more about it here) as her first meal. And then enjoyed watching her drink the man 🙃

WODtober day6 - Underground

a scene from Veronica's past, when her gnagrel friend Jack saved her life - they managed to survive the werewolf encounter but lost the van and were away from any houses or places to hide from the sun, and the sunrise was very close! Jack could hide underground with Earth Mend (3rd point of Protean discipline) but Veronica couldn't do that, so he suggested her to drink his blood so he could teach her Earth Mend, and she had to learn it very fast in dangerous conditions of having chance burning alive if she failed. Jack didn't leave her side until she could absorb into earth 🥺💖

#WODtober day 31 - Redemption

idk how much does it fit today's theme but I thought of Veronica's Sire. Back in 1920s (he went by name William Moore back then) he used to work as sheriff's hound and had not very high level of humanity (which went even lower after he murdered the whole mobster gang, that were holding Veronica). But over the time, and time spent with Veronica he regained his humanity back - Veronica is very humane and it usually is transmitted to people close to her. Even tho Veronica's embrace was very spontanious, judged by other toreodors, and honestly William would never pick her as his apprentice for the type of work he was doing - in the end it gave him personal growth he wasn't expecting and didn't know he needed

after 1990s William quit his hound job, Veronica visited him back then and tought him how to use computer and internet (THE FUTURE IS IN THESE TECHNOLOGIES!). It's was hard for 250+ years old vampire to get into it but he managed and it defenetely came in handy

Nowdays they go by name Kellen and decided to come out as nonbinary. They have their own lawyer office, help people, and as former hound sometimes give advice to vampires as well (related to keeping/saving the masquarade etc). Kellen values human life much more than 100 years ago and overal feel more comfortable in their own skin, good for them <3

#WODtober day 27 - Midnight Kiss

well... tbh its more like 5 in the morning kiss or whatever but you know what i dont care lol XD

here are Veronica and Jake (i posted a little about him here) after very stressful bight when they both had to keep brujah primogen and sheriff (and whole brujah gathering too) from being manipulated into fighting by sabbat brujah. Good thing Jake and Veronica were able prevent it from happening. After what Veronica asked him if he would invite her to his place XD

what can i say - she likes men who use their brains and use them for good cause

Veronica is 100 (125 if counting with human years too) years old toreador vampire

She used to be a singer at the bar before she was turned into a vampire, she still sings very good and loves trying new music styles as they apear during her long life (for example she got really good at singing rock and metal at some point)

Because it happened so that she was embraced with very short hair (here and here more about her embrace)she had to wear wigs and after a while learned to use different wigs and clothes to create different characters she could prettend to be to mend into human society Usually she uses her charisma and beauty(big boobies lol) to seduce people and feed on their blood Nowdays she often pretends to be cute silly bimbo - bc it is easy to have people loose their guard around her

in the period from 1920s to 1960s Veronica lived in Chicago with her sire(Veronica's sire here), but never got fully accepted by other toreadors and she wasn't big fan of Camarilia either so somewhere in 60s she ran away with a group of Anarchs vampires and traveled across USA with them. Made few good friendships there and learned protean at some point - big monster claws and how to burry herself into the ground for the day (check out her gangrel friend here) tho in the end she was disapointed in their lack of organization and due to that and some other personal reasons she left them around 80s she joined a small coteria of vampires in New Orleans bc she was seeking shelter from Sabbat attacks, and she lives with this coteria till today

Veronica is very humane - she cherishes human life (or any other life to be fair... be so werewolf or vampire or fairy). Also she is good at blending into human society, understanding recent trends, she is good at using latest technologies and internet

She used to work as a nurse in present days but she quit recently

Now she has a little side hastle posting on only-fans and also she is busy cleaning/renovating/painting/furnishing abandoned fabric that is now her Elysium. New Orleans already has one Elysium. Veronica's Elysium is a secret right now - only some kindrets know about it and use it as base, bc there is war with Sabat going on at this moment of the game, and having a secret base is rly convinient

Charlie ( @osatokun ) had hard time at the hospital so Veronica helped him feed on other doctor by distracting and hugging him

Charlie (malkavian, @osatokun ) Veronica(toreodor) and Jaqueline (tzimisce, @tench-art ) getting drunk at the bar togther after stressful night. Veronica complaining about life while Jaqueline landing her a ear and Charlie just got back from banging with random person in the bathroom (it was long ago, now he's married and don't go for one-nights)

1)its forbiden for vampires to show face on photos, so Veronica sends this kind of selfie to Jaqueline - with silly emoji over her face and very bluury Charlie in the background - they are breaking into school lol

2)back in 80s. Veronica's human nerd girlfriend Lina gets punched by bandits for trying to protect a guy they were hired to beat up. Veronica gets furious and kicks the shit out of them (she successfully trips over 2 of 4 guys and keeps them down on the ground). She used a bit of celerity - enough to be quicker while not breaking the masquerade. Lina was amazed and thought Veronica is master of martial arts!

Veronica to Charlie - I wonder what Jaqueline is up to?

Jaqueline, who was siting at the backseat of Veronica's van, waiting for her - What do you mean?

Veronica and Charlie - "getting spooked bc they didn't expect her to be there"

Veronica isn't fan of dirty street rat nibbling on her earring (even if the rat is super cute and helping on a mission) and Charlie falling over while Veronica tries to catch him but only manages to grab onto his pants. Butt's out!!! (oh yeah also there is cursed dead person in cables)
