Der Wald um Torfhaus im Harz, Niedersachsen, Northern Germany. The Harz is a Mittelgebirge, it has the highest elevations in Northern Germany. Its terrain extends across parts of Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia. It‘s a ski area in winter and has great hiking in summer.
