Romantische Fachwerk-Träume im Harz - Wenn Märchen wahr werden

Ach, seht nur diese faszinierende Pracht! Hier im malerischen Harz steht ein wahrliches Fachwerkwunder, das aussieht, als hätte es Schneewittchen höchstpersönlich als Feriendomizil gebucht. Diese charmante Fachwerkschönheit mit ihren rot-weißen Balken und dem idyllischen Bachlauf davor ist der perfekte Beweis dafür, dass Deutschland nicht nur Autobahnen und Bürokratie kann.

Während andere Urlauber in überteuerten Hotels nächtigen und sich über WLAN-Ausfälle beschweren, genießen die glücklichen Bewohner dieser Märchenvilla vermutlich täglich den Sound des plätschernden Wassers und den Anblick von Fachwerk, das bereits Jahrhunderte überlebt hat - und dabei vermutlich stabiler ist als manches moderne Neubau-Projekt. Die traditionelle Holzbalken-Konstruktion mit ihren charakteristischen weißen Gefachen zwischen den roten Hölzern zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie nachhaltig und zeitlos echtes Handwerk sein kann.

Besonders reizvoll ist die harmonische Verbindung zur Natur: Der kleine Bach fließt gemütlich am Haus vorbei, als hätte er alle Zeit der Welt - ein wohltuender Kontrast zu unserem hektischen Alltag. Die umgebende Harzlandschaft mit ihren sanften Hügeln und dem Blick in die historische Bergbauregion macht diese Szenerie zu einem echten Instagram-Hotspot - nur dass hier echte Substanz hinter der Schönheit steckt.

Diese authentische Harz-Romantik beweist einmal mehr: Deutschland hat durchaus seine märchenhaften Ecken, man muss sie nur zu schätzen wissen. Während der Rest der Welt sich über deutsche Gründlichkeit lustig macht, bauen wir eben Häuser, die 500 Jahre lang halten und dabei auch noch wunderschön aussehen.

Ein Ort, der zeigt: Manchmal ist das Beste tatsächlich direkt vor unserer Haustür.

We walked about 10 km total today but without any elevation worth mentioning. It was tiring nonetheless, we went shopping and I made dinner. Afterwards I decided to go on another run to explore the two mountains/hills nearby. Once I was on the trail I turned a corner because I couldn't find the right path to where I planned to go. (Spotted two foxes and one black stork 🦊🦊🐦‍⬛)

For as long as I stayed on trail it was lovely as pictured. However, eventually I drifted off along a meadow with the intention of reaching the top of one hill.

I didn't make it to the top and turned into a forest I felt I shouldn't be in. I somehow found my way back to the meadow and although I could see houses I couldn't find a way to get back to the street or trail (I'd have taken either one of the options).

After a slight increase of panic and about 10-20 min later, I decided to go down a pretty steep way with a few benches on the other end. I had seen those benches yesterday and this morning and pointed them out to my friend. I told her:"See those benches? It's pretty steep behind them but there's the Mühlenberg behind it. Maybe we could go up there."

Well I made it DOWN from there and was happy to be back on a road, NGL.

We were on a tenting vacation in the Harz (middle Germany national park with a lot of low mountains and forest) with @nefja .

It was a lot of fun, lots of hiking in a beautiful but slowly dying landscape.

Even though the days were really nice to hike (temperature around 20°C and often slightly cloudy) the nights (and therefore the evenings and mornings) gut pretty chilly (8°C). So we went to bed in our tents in the early evening. It was comfy in the sleeping bags and really quiet until the end of our vacation. Then some loud groups were settling around us. But we were exhausted from the days so still falling asleep pretty easily.
