Happy 20 years of Hetalia!!!

I'm so happy that I got to participate in the @hetalia-20-anniversary-zine !! And especially with a piece about my favourite ever, Lithuania!

It's a personal piece under the "character love" cathegory, which I spent soooo long thinking about and making. I was going for a Uekura Eku kinda illystration, with Liet floating amongst various things that represent him to me. The name is "LietTime" because that's what I think every time he spawns in my creative process.

Under the cut are some close-ups and explanations!

First of all, one of the books is "History of the Baltic States, by Kasekamp, a book which my dad bought to me as a present when I got into Baltic history. The other book is an Old Prussian ethimological dictionary that I saw the second time I visited Vilnius but didn't buy, and I regret it to this day.

Then there's Poland and the phone from their first arc in the anime, which got me interested in them, especially Lithuania, and theur history together.

Then, there's multiple symbols of Lithuanian identity, including the coat of arms, a sword with the symbol, a human chain representing the Baltic chain, cepelinai (the first Lithuanian food I tried), traditional sashes and rue, the national plant.
