GREATER PORTLAND AREA, OREGON ACTIVE UNTIL 10:00PM OCTOBER 23RD Expect inclement weather and intermittent thunderstorms, likely power outages in the Portland area extending through Rutherford and up to Vancouver, Washington. The university will remain open as usual, however with the weather forecast to get worse of the next few days students and staff are urged to take proper precautions. Further information will follow should teaching be affected...”

With this second plot drop comes our first pair shuffle. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, a pair shuffle is something of a blend between a task and an event. Characters are paired up and each pair will receive a prompt – in this case, the plot drop! Since we have an odd number, one character will be paired up twice. This is an opportunity to write and develop your character(s) with someone else you may not necessarily interact with IC. While you’re welcome to carry on your threads for as long as you like, we ask that each thread have at least 10 notes before 18 February (real time). It’s completely up to each pair how long each reply should be. You’re welcome to incorporate any element of this post into your thread, but keep an eye out for additional plot drops to come during & following the storms !!

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to close TORMENTHQ. While the experience in running this roleplay has been amazing we have noticed a severe dip of activity and a loss of muse in most of the muns. We had a strong creative direction going in with this group and that just didn’t end up panning out the way we had planned - this is no one's fault, sometimes things just don’t go the way you want them too.  We apologize to all of our current members. And to our current and past members - each and every one of you had been absolutely amazing and made the experience (as short as it was) wonderful. You are all of course welcome to continue writing, plotting, threading, but for now it’s time for us to close our doors. We hope we can write with you again in the future and thank you for taking the time and interest in our story!

just a quick follow up – the submit is now open again for the three remaining places !!  based on our interest leading up to acceptance we’ll keep it open until we’ve received three apps and post acceptances shortly after. again, we’ll very likely be expanding within the week as everyone settles in, so if you aren’t able to get your app in time, please don’t fret !!

hello again from the other side of acceptances !! we’re so excited to see all the chatting and plotting going on in the discord. with everyone getting settled and getting to know each other we’ve decided to open for interactions tomorrow, at 11 am est (4 pm gmt). we can’t wait to interact with you all !!

and with acceptance posted, i’m very happy to say that we’re on our way to opening !! please be patient with us as we update pages, send out discord links, and post follows in the coming hours. while we have three remaining spaces, maddy and i will be holding off on opening the submit until we’ve provided feedback to the unsuccessful applicants, so that they may have the chance to reapply. thank you again for such amazing interest !!
